I figured anything in tins would probably be too moist to use straight away, and would require drying first. So I'm already anticipated that should I get a tin of H&H Louisiana Red. But thanks for mentioning it.
I just found a friend that seems willing to smoke ANYTHING, to take my remaining Sparrow tobacco off my hands - lol
The only complaint I had with my Louisianna Red was when I found my full tin purchase to be considerably more moist than the sample bag I first tried. It's not a big issue, since it's not tough to let it dry a bit before stuffing.
Sorry I've been "silent" on the boards for awhile, there's just been a lot going on offline and I haven't had much to add to the comments for awhile.
My stock is probably sufficient to last well into Spring/Summer 2016 and I've fallen into a routine in my habits - lol
Yeah, VPB Red is a little milder than most other full-flavor tobaccos. Even I have to blend it with something more robust to give it greater "body."
I also seem to be coming to the same point as you regarding experimentation. I have resolved that my next tobacco purchase is just going to be Three Sails and Talon Regular (and maybe a couple of small tins of D&R Wintergold and H&H Louisiana Red, or possibly Orlik Golden Sliced, to satisfy my curiosity). I recently saw some new pipe tobaccos on Fresh Choice's website that interested me, but I think I'm going to restrain myself, at least for now.
One dilemma I have is last time I got too much OHM Turkish Red, and it will take awhile to finish it (I've been blending it). The Washington Regular was an outright mistake. It's not even really worth blending. I have 6 oz. left and don't know what I'll do with it.
Hey wbeadsd, My dad was also in the vending business. He bought the full line vending business from Coca-Cola and I worked for him about 11 years. I too would take cigarettes from the damaged box, LOL
