Yes. But it has been more of an ice storm than a snow storm. They've downgraded the total accumulation expected from 18 to 8 inches, and they've lifted the blizzard warning. However, the Hudson Valley (just to the north of here) is getting hard hit. So are parts of New England.

Did you happen to see the Queen's Christmas message? It must have been pre-recorded: aside from the fact that it aired here at noon on Dec. 25, I heard that she was sick on Christmas Day. Anyway, I thought it was marvelous. Main theme was that when individuals do "little works" of goodness, done with great love, collectively they can change the world. And then she pointed to Jesus Christ, an infant born in a manger and a son of carpenter, as the example. Only six minutes long, but really splendid. You'd never hear such a message from out out-going president (at noon today, he's gone to the dustbin of history--what a relief!).

She already surpassed Queen Victoria's reign?
Let's see Victoria was 20 June 1837 to 22 January 1901. (I knew it was 1837-1901, but had to look up the exact dates). Yes, you're right, not surprisingly. Let us hope she continues going on and on, for as long as possible. I don't think that Prince Charles is cut from the same mold, unfortunately. Elizabeth has always put service to country and the best interests of the Crown first. I don't believe that Charles is as selfless as his mother ... pardon me for saying so.
My mother was also born in 1926, on March 6. But she passed away 31 May 2003.

Yes I got 20 embassy filter last week from a local shop,they were old and dry and smoked harsh.I will treat myself when I get into town.

Have you tried regal filter,I was offered 1 not long ago and found it nearly the same as Embassy filter.
