I see. When I was growing up, I also spent Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter with the extended family (on my mother's side). I was the youngest of my generation--my sister is six years older, and the cousin
closest to my age nine years older--so there was nobody else my age, and I was expected to just sit there and be quiet through a multi-course dinner that lasted all day long. And there was no Xbox or anything else remotely like it back then either. It was horridly boring!
