Default Future as a smoker

As I approach 40 years old and about 23-24 years as a regular smoker. My smoking definitely starting to take a toll on my lungs. Most people have this idea that they're gonna quit at a certain age before they start getting I'll. Me personally I have never been one of them. I can't wait until I hit the 30 year mark and see how they have affected me

I had a discussion with myself about smoking as I approached 50. I have 40years experience with tobacco and probably 25 pack years. While I am not excited about the possible risks I will accept them for a life that includes smoking.

I do not want to quit. I find it amusing that e cigs are going to get banned before real ones though.

I canít see myself ever getting the urge to quit. I enjoy smoking too much and of course am totally addicted to it as well.

I used to think like this, that I'll quit before my lungs are really affected by smoking. But it was back in the days when I could hardly call myself a smoker. Now after over 20 years of regular smoking and with a solid 1ppd habit I simply accepted that I'll always smoke and I'm happy about it.
