Yep! If I stay away from a vehicle it’s usually about an hour or so between smokes. If I’m driving all bets are off!

I really have no idea how many smokes I had while driving 4300+ miles on our eclipse trip. It was a lot though

As others have said, it all depends upon the situation. In the morning after I first get up, typically I’ll smoke several back to back with my morning coffee until I am satisfied. But after the first two hours I’ll slow down a bit. So if I’m just in my house, I’ll probably light up about once every 20 minutes or so after I put the last one out. That’s when I get the “time for a cigarette” thought. But I may light up sooner out of routine if I’m on the phone, after a meal, getting in my car, etc. Or perhaps later if I’m out, busy, or just get distracted.

Has anyone ever reached for their pack to get a smoke, then realize they’ve already got one lit? I have. Plenty of times

As someone who never smoked in my car I never understood how it creates an urgent need to smoke as soon as you get in.

Are you trying to head off road rage? Is traffic that stressful? Are you in your car for long periods every day and have no other times to smoke?

90% of my driving consists of going to/from work (about 30 mins) and the rest of the times, well they also averaged about 30 mins drive time. I preferred the clean smelling car and would smoke before I left or after arriving at my destination

Haha. No road rage or stressful driving. It just is what it is.

Seriously, I could be driving 3 feet and I’d still light up....even if I just smoked.

Other people could definitely have a reason why they smoke while driving. Ie non smoking workplace, stress, sidewalk ban, whatever. For me there is no real reason

Probably one per hour on average, but it depends what I am doing.
