Default Ashes flying everywhere...

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this site. I have a very odd and somewhat embarrassing question. I doubt anyone will know the answer, but I'll ask anyway.

I smoke Special Blend Lights, about a pack a day. I just started up again with this habit about a year ago.

Something I notice about smoking which is bothersome to me (which I must not have noticed as much years ago when I smoked), is how the ashes go flying everywhere from off of the end of the cigarette, every time I take a drag. And then I'm constantly having to wipe them off of myself and my clothing, etc.

Does anyone know if there is a way to avoid having cigarettes do this. Could it be the brand I am smoking, I wonder. Do others here have the same issue, and if so is it as bothersome to you as it is to me.

Thanks.

I've never had that happen unless outside where it's windy. Kind of odd if you ask me

Yeah, maybe that does have something to do with it (the wind that is). I always smoke outside, so it would make sense.

Although, I do smoke in my car sometimes, but that is usually with a window or two down.

Do you pack your cigarettes prior to opening the pack?

I've noticed that the cheap brands are more likely to do this, apparently due to less tobacco and thus less tight packing. I'd suspect the makers of your brand of doing this to save money.
