Knowing now how much I liked smoking and being a smoker right from the start, I wish I had started sooner.

Default Love smoking

If I could do it all over again, would I? Sure would start again if given the chance! I love being a smoker, I love smoking. Becoming a smoker was and is one of the best choices I've ever made.

Default Start later

Hey guys,

I’m one of the few “start smoking at a later age” ones. I started smoking every day at 14, and as the legal age was 16 at the time, and bearing in mind that being a “secret smoker” was a logistical nightmare, I wish I’d started at college. I started openly smoking in front of my parents at 19, but they knew I smoked.

It was pretty inevitable for me to start smoking, for various reasons, and I do really enjoy it. Just wish I’d had waited. Still, I’m 38 now and that’s 24 years of water under the bridge lol.

Cheers,
R

If I could do it over again, I would have started smoking, too. I used to be very anti, but then I developped a fascination for smoking and cigarettes. I had my first cig with being 24 years old and for me that was not too young and not too old. I was aware what I was doing and I really liked this experience. So I do not think that I would have done something different.
Sometimes I have regrets, but as an on and off smoker I think I found a good balance for my smoking.

I started smoking at 14 and if I could do it over again would not change a thing. I wanted to be a smoker and I am sure that would still be the same.

I started smoking at 16 when I was ready to become a smoker and for me it was the right thing to do so I would not change a thing.

I started smoking at 14 and am pretty sure I would do exactly the same if I could do it over again.

Reading the posts here consistent themes are ‘no regrets’ and ‘wish I had started sooner’. Smoking has far exceeded my expectations, and the benefits outweigh the risks in my view. So for me too there are no regrets other than I wish I’d start earlier.

I started smoking when I was around 15-16, which I think is an ok age to start, so I wouldn't change that. But if I could I would definitelly change how much I used to smoke. It took me many long years to become a 1ppd smoker, I wish I smoked more from the begining.
