Between 1 and 1.5 packs a day. Marlboro Reds, sometimes Camel studs (I miss the original Camel filters).

Guess I'm a moderate smoker.

Default Daily smoking

I was just reviewing this thread when I noticed I'd never responded. I'm pretty steady at smoking 25 Embassy Filter a day(give or take a couple either side) since levelling off in my mid 20's.However I do increase if out drinking/in the company of fellow smokers-say up to 30. This daily routine keeps me fully satisfied for maximum personal smoking enjoyment.

I'm going to have to update mine again. For a while I've been consistently smoking 3 - 3.5 packs a day (60 - 70 cigs), so now I think based on the choices I fall under "Chain Smoker (60+)"

Right there with you, '92. I've been a two-pack-a-day smoker the past month or so, so you can put me on the edge of "Moderate Smoker" and "Heavy Smoker." Such is life when you can smoke at work all day...

Your smoking has doubled in just a couple of years? I remember when you said you were a little under a pack a day.

It has. You have a really good memory.

I was a pack a day smoker for most of college and started smoking more out of boredom when I couldn't find a job right after graduation and was at home by myself sending resumes all day and working a boring outdoor job part-time at night. Now I have a job, but it's one that pretty much allows me to smoke as much as I want, and I haven't been able to cut back. I'd like to work my way back to about a pack a day in the near future.

I usually only smoke once or twice a day but I might smoke more in the future. Seriously impressed at how much some of you guys and girls smoke!

Trust me, if you are a "regular" smoker (smoking every day) as opposed to a "social smoker," you are going progressively increase how much you smoke until you reach a plateau. You'd be surprised at just how easy it is to get to a pack a day.

Amen on that. No one starts as a pack a day smoker. Actually, every pack a day smoker starts where you are right now. And it just sort of...happens...for lack of a better word.

I'm not so sure about that. I agree that almost nobody starts at a pack a day, but I remember some of my peers starting at more than just a few a day. When I "took the plunge" and decided to become a "regular" or daily smoker, I started at 10-15 a day from the first day. But I suppose my more than a year of "on-again, off-again" smoking before then had me pretty used to smoking by then.
