Nat Sherman New York Cut Cigarette Reviews

Made in the USA by the Nat Sherman company, the New York Cut full flavor king size model is 3 5/16 inches (84 mm) long, with a 7/8 inch (23 mm) white filter.

The tobacco compressed about 1/8 inch when we tamped it down. The tobacco mix appears to be a standard American blend of light, medium and darker leaf, and we found 3 small slivers of stem when we dissected the cigarette. This model may not pack enough "punch" for those who prefer a strong cigarette, but the Old Guy says it is one of the best he has ever lit up. (And you can imagine how many he has tried, what with bumming smokes for most of his adult life.) There was absolutely no harshness (possibly due to the longer filter), and no unpleasant aftertaste. Nat says (on the pack) that the cigarette consists of "100% Pure and Natural Tobacco", but we thought we detected just a hint of some added flavor. Hard to tell what it was, but it was definitely not unpleasant. This is NOT a cheap smoke, but may win folks over despite the higher price. Evidently, there is a reason Nat calls them "Luxury Cigarettes".
