Excellent cigarette. Very hard to find now. Very unique taste. Very strong, but have a strange, pleasant sweet taste to them that balances the strength. Very classy pack and smoke. Tons of celebrities used to smoke these in the middle 20th century. They're very strong, not as strong as Camels, but sweeter. They have an aged taste to them, as if they use more vintage tobaccos. You can really taste the sweetness, like no other cigarette I've ever smoked. One pack I got was stale though. These days, many of these may be stale so keep that in mind. Hardly anyone knows of these or smokes them any more. If they were more common I'd smoke them all the time. Excellent taste & strong draw.

Chesterfield non-filter's are a very vintage brand that are becoming incredibly hard to find around the United States. Chances are if you find a pack they might be stale. The strength of a Chesterfield non-filter is fairly strong, but not too overpowering. Taste wise this is a very good cigarette. There are subtle after tones of sweetness but not nearly as sweet as Pall Mall non-filters of Lucky Strikes. The price unfortunately is high, but a quality cigarette with quality tobaccos and taste come with a high price. Non-filter smokers, I recommend this cigarette.

I had been a Newport menthol smoker (since college) for over ten years and last year felt the full brunt of a fiberglass filter with menthol in the morning. I felt terrible after that last Newport and decided to go back to my old younger smoking habits. Id always been old school, and remembered smoking Lucky Strikes during my early years so I decided to go back to them since they are filterless, and throwback. That was until i met Chesterfield. I was sitting one night smoking luckies and ran across the history of Chesterfield back in the golden era. Id always been a huge Reagan fan and decided to give them a go. First off it was hard to find these babies, called at least 5 tobacco outlets and they didnt carry them. Then i found a local native american themed outlet and they had them. Thank God for that place. Chesterfields are by far the BEST thing i have ever smoked. Everything appeals to me- the throwback pack design, the king size, the taste, and the overall feeling of smoking one of America's last true cigarettes. I am hooked and will never look back. Phillip Morris, if your listening, dont discontinue these! They are the best non filter ive EVER had! And to any Lucky Strike smoker, give these a go. You might be switching sooner than you think. A+++++++++!

I went and blew $67 on a carton, as my decision was based upon the reviews; I thought they must be good if 17/18 people say so. I was wrong; paid commentators, I don't know - just don't make the mistake I did. Stay away from these at all costs. I live in WI, and was in MO for a week, for a family visit - didn't have my usual Eagle 22's, or even my USA Gold's. These aren't very strong, and the taste is on par of that of a Decade; terrible. Abhorrent quality, just terrible. Do yourself a favor, and pay the extra cash for something good; Camel - Eagles, USA's, Old Gold's, even Luckies are better than these shitstorms. Anyway, that's my two cents. Hope I've helped.

One of the last real American cigarettes left. Give it a few years and, given the way smokers are trending, they'll probably be discontinued. Where I live, they're over $10 a pack*, and while they still have the great packaging, FSC has hurt their flavor. Still among the best though. They're smoother than many filtered cigarettes, burn at an acceptable pace, and have a rich flavor.

It's a premium tobacco brand with a really pleasant taste. I smoked chesterfield black which I think is Burley tobacco. It really was a pleasant surprise, definitely worth a try if it is sold where you live. The price is okay too.

Glad they still make these. A very good smoke. Smooth, full-bodied taste, sweet aftertaste. Not as strong as other non-filtered cigarettes. Very hard to find, most specialty tobacco shops don't carry them. The 1 place that does charges $7.59 a pack here in Pennsylvania. Always mild, always tasty, always a conversation starter.

Not my favourite cigarette, even though I like to smoke strong cigs. Chesterfield reds have a really harsh and chemical taste, not very good but hey it's a fair price, 4 euros a pack so you save an euro if you buy these instead of Marlboro reds.

The fact that so many chemicals are added to a Chesterfield cigarette is a crying shame. These are one of my favorite cigarettes, but don't quite compare to Lucky Strike. Aesthetically, these might be my favortite. They have a beautifully designed pack and the cigarette itself is King sized, so it's kind of luxurious looking. However, that's the only real thing it has over Luckies. Chesterfield has a very chemical-ly taste that just tends to get to you. The sad thing is, is that underlying the chemical overtone is a deliciously sweet tobacco taste that's almost up to parr with Lucky Strike. Back in their hay-day, Chesterfields might have been super good. Probably one of the top cigarettes out there. Though they still remain one of my favs, I will say, they're not at all perfect. It's just a shame that Altria couldn't simply focus more on keeping the tobacco untouched.

These cigarettes are a very pleasant smoke. They're very smooth and mellow with a hint of sweetness to the tobacco. A slightly different smoke compared to Lucky Strikes, but for an unfiltered cigarette they are very nice. A great classic brand. If you enjoy Luckies, you'll definitely like these. They are probably the best Philip Morris owned brand. Highly recommended.

I've tried just about every brand under the sun, each of them varying from decent to a nice smoke but never what I could call a 'pure enjoyment' to smoke.Several years ago I was at a social event and went outside to smoke my usual brand-Malboro Reds.An older gentleman saw me puffing away and offered me a Chesterfield and he said 'son, try one of these and you'll know what a cigarette should taste like'.Being a fan of the non-filters occassionally I gladly accepted his Chesterfield, and the taste was AMAZING!It was the greatest tasting cigarette I ever had...it was smooth and full-bodied yet had a hint of unusual sweetness at the same time, somewhat different from Lucky Strike and Pall Mall. This old-school brand has become my personal favorite since then.Looking back on other brands now I'm glad I found Chesterfield for it's superior taste and quality, because life is too short to smoke anything below your expectations.

Strong cigarette, but good taste. Has a hint of vanilla almost, but I do think there is a slight chemical taste. But just like the commercials said, "no unpleasant aftertaste!" I like these a lot. I used to smoke Luckies, but switched because Chesterfields are longer and taste is comparable. They're also less expensive, and a conversation starter. They will knock you down, though, until you get used to them!

These in their short variety are extremely strong, they will knock you down. The taste is ok, one of the strangest I have come accross. It almost has a sweetness to it, combined with a chemical taste, and a bit of tobacco. The king-sized are easier to find in my area, and they don't taste very fresh to me. They also require a few puffs before you get a good fix. I will stick to my Camels.

This is an excellent cigarette. I only like Lucky Strikes more. Chesterfields are expensive and difficult to find, but if you like non-filtered cigarettes, they are an excellent selection because of the taste and the king size length which makes them easier to smoke. Best smoked through a cigarette holder and accompanied by scotch on ice.
