Comments:
I reserve a five-star review for select brands, and these almost earn themselves a five star rating. But they taste somewhat stale after an exhale. I strongly doubt that these are lights, as they smoke like a regular, but c'est la vie they are worth the price.
Comments:
These cigarettes are an iconic smoke. Perhaps that is why they stay so popular? I find the strength to be a bit too strong for a light cigarette. The tobacco blend does not really mix well. I look for a bright blend of tobacco in a light smoke but this gives off a heavy dark taste. Taste: I get a bad bite after these cigs. I do not smoke these often so maybe that is why. I find it hard to draw a good drag out. In other words these are not smooth. Price: The price is pretty reasonable. In Northern Illinois these run about 4.50 a pack. Overall: I used to be a smoker of Camels but I found better brands that suited my taste better than these.
Comments:
I share same thoughts as reviewer below, this is just way too overused for its price & quality. Draw isn't anything great, taste is nice, but high price makes these cigarettes not-so-good.
Comments:
I don't get what the popularity is with these. A friend of mine gave me two of these the other day, and after I smoked the first I wasn't even sure as to what to do with the second (I did smoke it eventually, btw, and it still sucked the second time around). They were just incredibly weak, like inhaling polluted air. I'll be honest, I've never been much of a lights fans, but this was just about the worst light I've ever tried. I wouldn't buy a pack, but hey, that's just me.
Comments:
These are by far one of the best light cigarettes i've had. The taste isn't wrecked by chemicals, either. I would highly recommend these
Comments:
Excellent cig. Smooth, rich flavor and doesn't have that much of a chemical taste. I can still taste it a little bit though. My favorite light cigarette.
Comments:
Eh, I liked the old camel lights so much more than these. I feel like they have a distinct chemically taste that i can never get out of my mouth....even more so than marb lights. However, the burn rate on these is far superior, and they can be found anywhere. Reliable but somewhat mundane...nothing to write home about
Comments:
doesn't leave a nasty chemical aftertaste like the marb lights 100 do. pleasant cig although i did like the marlboros too.. recommend this one!
Comments:
Best "light" cigarette i've found so far in MN. Taste/smell is similar to Camel 99s except i'm not hacking up mucus with these
Comments:
I love these cigarettes. These are a great cigarette for beginners and a great cigarette for someone who just enjoys a smoke. They are not too harsh, they taste good, and they burn well. Go pick up a pack.
Comments:
My top choice for a light cig. It has a rich taste but does not leave a harsh aftertaste. Definitely a must for any smoker.
Comments:
FANTASTIC cigarette. Strong taste, but not filter strong. Definitely in my top 3 favorite cigarette list
Comments:
tried one of these for the first time about a year ago . this is absolutly the worst light cigarette ive ever smoked . i would rather smoke basic lights even if they cost more . like other posts on here ive noticed all the college kids are smoking these . which i think is strange ,have they ever tried a marlboro light . mls were the choice of my peers growing up in the 90s . i guess kids have no taste nowadays lol hey camel price these at a dollar a pack and i might smoke them . blaaargg
Comments:
Camel Lights have a smooth taste that's somewhat sweet but does havethat somewhat transparent finish another review mentioned,I think that's pretty common with Light cigarettes for some reason.Camel Lights and Marlboro Lights are two different worlds-Camel Lights have a mildly sweet tobacco taste and smell,Marlboro Lights have are smooth but have the natural tobacco taste...it's a tough call.
Comments:
Camel Lights is definetly on the top 3 list of light cigarettes, its flavor is extremely good and light at the same time. I fully recommend this cigarette even over marlboro lights.
Comments:
These are in the middle for me. For a Light cigarette they are a bit stronger than other Lights. They go down a little harsh (almost grainy) but have a more sweet, pure tobbaco taste. They smell fantastic (better than any other cig) when you open up the pack, but they're a little pricy. (about .25 more than Marlboro)
Comments:
I came accross a real winner. the camel blue have a pleasent creamy taste not harsh but not like smoking fresh air. I realized they were an enjoyment to smoke. They contain a good amount of nicotine at 0.7 mg per ciggarette which I find keep my urges constantly satisfied without having to buy a stronger brand e.g marlbro black.
Comments:
Why did I get these? I actually meant to buy menthol lights. But the lights aren't that bad, they are smooth and pretty good. But I don't get a buzz off of 'em. Overall it's okay.
Comments:
I loved these when they were the original blend, but with the new blend I don't feel like they have the same strength or draw. They really leave a strong chemical aftertaste and are all too airy going down. The caramel goodness of camel filters balances the aftertaste much better than the lights, so I'd recommend them over these any day.
Comments:
These taste like exactly what they're supposed to be - a lighter version of Camel Filters. Personally, the flavor kinda bothers me, but if light cigarettes are your thing, and you like Camels, I say go for it.
Comments:
Yuck...light cigarettes....these are my enemy, why? It's hard to enjoy a cigarette that has a filter that's so sturdy it drains all the flavor from your tobacco (believe me try smoking a non-filtered light cigarette the taste is very nice) but, Camel Lights I could actually call a medium bodied cigarette, the filter doesn't steal the thunder and result is a mellow yet rich taste. My very first brand of cigarette that I purchased often was Marlboro Lights and I chained them like mad trying to get some flavor. Then I switched to full flavor since then. But since I switched to Camels, I'll occassionally grab a pack of their lights since it's the only prime 'light cigarette' on the market.
Comments:
I used to only smoke camel lights for about 5 months. They were the best cigarette from the standpoints of price, taste, and feel. These are one of my favorite smokes and I still buy them at times, but I am still a Marlboro fan at heart. But overall, a good smoke all around daily, occasionally, and for people who are starting and want something that taste good and does not cost an arm and a leg.
Comments:
Ive been smoking since the age of 13 and i smoked camels for about 3 or four years,, and i switched to menthol when they changed to the "new" lights. The old blend was the distinct camel taste.. and i still long for it.. that was a good cig. It was about as strong as a marlboro red. Most people hated it because the taste and after taste... Any old camel light smoker knows that this new blend is bull.. It dont hit like the old ones.. id switch back to camel in an instant if they brought back the old blend.
Comments:
Camels are smooth on the throat. They don't burn that fast. You get a good buzz of it. I have been smoking these since highschool. and no other cigarettes compare to the smoothness or flavor of camels. The only thing i don't like about these are the price, besides the price i keep coming back to these.
Comments:
I think these are the smoothest non menthol light cigarette on the market. I tried many many cigarettes before making these my cig of choice. They don't give me a scratchy throat or a annoying smokers cough which is great. Maybe my only complaint is that they are starting to taste more and more like Marlboro lights which is a bad thing. Kinda wish they had a fashionable white filter. Seems most people smoke Marlboro Lights because of the filter color, not the taste and these are much better.
Comments:
I never tried the old blend, so cannot compare. It has a good taste overall. It is not as smooth as the turkish blends like silver or royal. But still distinctive flavor. It also burns slow if packed well. It is also cheaper then turkish line. I would recommend and like it a lot better then marlboro lights for sure.
Comments:
In my opinion, this is the best camel out there. And I only gave it 3 stars. I think Camels are over rated. The lights beat the regulars only because the taste is not so strong. They are smooth and taste alright. Although there are many other brands that beat Camels.
Comments:
I really like the new Camels, because I wouldn't even lay eyes on the old ones. I like Camel Lights, but they have to be 99s for me. Great smoke with great flavor.
Comments:
I've been smoking Camels for years, and it's got a very pleasant, distinctive taste. It's my favorite cigarette. The price has gone up so much however, I'm smoking a cheaper one at the moment.
Comments:
This is a great smoke. The taste is so much better than the old Camel Lights. It is a smooth smoke and burns nice. I tried a Marlboro light after smoking a few packs of Camel Lights and the Marlboro tasted like dirt! The new Camel Light is one of the best smokes available.
Comments:
This was the first cigarette that I smoked regularly. These are definitely an acquired taste, and I began to smoke them only after I had smoked a few packs of Turkish Royals. After smoking Marlboro Lights regularly for a few months, I tried to go back to these, but was disgusted. I won't try to smoke these again most likely. These are also fairly lightly packed, and nine times out of ten you ingest more paper smoke than tobacco.
Comments:
I smoked Marlboro Lights for a while, then when I was out one of my friends would bum me a Camel Light. After I smoked the first one I knew it was a great cigarette. I live in Illinois and the price isn't bad where I live, they are very smooth if you pack them right and if I planned on smoking the rest of my life this would be my cigarette of choice. I still smoke a Marlboro every now and then but I always come back to Camels. Great brand, I love them.
Comments:
I smoked Camel Lights ages ago. I dunno why this brand is so popular among college student smokers. Smoking Camels made me wanna puke and quit smoking! If you want a real cig that's light, I recommend Marlboro Lights.
Comments:
These cigarettes were very gross for a light cigarette. I disliked them and wanted to trade the carton for Marlboro Lights 100s but it was too late since it was already open. That resulted in 10 unpleasant days of smoking these. Don't buy them!
Comments:
Like many people, these were the first cigarettes I ever purchased for myself. They weren't to bad, but then again what did I know I hadn't been smoking for long. I haven't smoked them in 2 years or so I guess. So I can't remember to much about the flavor. They are not remarkable in anyway, but I suppose they are not to bad if you are new to smoking.
Comments:
they taste very bad, and my throat hurts a little after. the only thing keeping this thing from 1 star is that after ur first, they start to get better. then when u wait a little it sucks again. disappointing from camel.
Comments:
these were my first cigarettes too. I was not impressed at all. I saw the cool package and was suckered in! Do not buy these! bad taste and burns quick! I quickly switched to marlboro lights...a real cigarette!
Comments:
Camels are classic cigs and are apparently the college student's smoke of choice, so I bought a pack (my first ever smokes) to see what all the buzz (yes, pun intended) was all about. These are crap, to put it bluntly. They are harsh, taste like dirty air, and yield NO buzz whatsoever (as I said before these were my FIRST cigarettes)! These turned me off from Camel forever.
Comments:
Overall, Camel Lights are a great cigarette. They have a pleasant taste and a decent buzz. They're a great everyday cigarette or a "every-once-in-a-while" one. Good beginner smoke.
Comments:
On the plus side these light cigarettes are easy enough to enjoy because they taste pleasant and i find that the smell is light and subtle. But they arent anything special really. I expected something more from this brand but sadly it is lacking. Enjoyable yet basic.
Comments:
I pretty much got started on these and number 9 menthols. Then when I realized they were both pussy I switched to regular camel filters and everyonce in a while, newports (which are terrible but they keep drawing me in). Anyways, I still occasionally have one of my moms camel light's and they really are not that good at all anymore. Can't really taste them at all and they seem to give me a headache alot of the time. Just buy regular camel filters.
Comments:
I generally dislike lights. However, now that I have a friend who smokes these consistently, I've grown to like them.
Comments:
I love this cigarette. Always my usual choice. I like the smooth taste and now they have deal buy 2 get 1 free for like 10 bucks which is a great deal.
Comments:
A decent cig. Not very strong at all but with a tolerable taste. Not as good as Marlboro light but a cig I would buy once and a while for a change of pace.
Comments:
My go-to cigarette of choice. Quality is consistent throughout the us, can find it anywhere. A little stronger than most light cigarettes. Has that great "camel" taste and doesn't burn your throat too much.
Comments:
This is a preferred cigarette of mine. I enjoy the smoothness of them and the taste is very pleasant.
Comments:
Not fantastic, but not bad either. They serve there purpose of being avaible at about any store you go to in the U.S while being relativly cheap. Good to pick up when you can find them selling at 2 for 1.
Comments:
A good brand to buy when the real premium brands are unavailable or you're aching for a smoke but only have change left in your car.
Comments:
I admit that the taste of this cig is superb;and because it is very rare in my country...smoking it is a real pleasure!
Comments:
A decent smoke for those who like a lighter tasting cigarette, but are looking for a different and distinctive flavour. Unlike most "light" cigarettes these have more flavour but still are very smooth with an easy draw. A good transition cigarette for those seeking a more invigorating smoking experience but still find the strength and taste of a "full flavoured" unfavorable.
Comments:
Not bad at all for a light cigarette. Smooth flavor with an easy draw. A good everyday cigarette.
Comments:
I do not know if I have a very narrow view about this, but I have been smoking for nearly five years now, I know it is killing me, but I like smoking. My choice cigarettes are Winstons, the thing that really annoys me though is why do the majority of young people, students especially smoke Camel Lights? I have smoked them, don't think much of them, is it something to with the Conforming to the world, lets do what they do? That is all I have to say on the matter. Hope that is enough words.
Comments:
Some cigarettes might be worth the lung cancer, these are not.
Comments:
I really enjoy how mellow this blend is. It makes the work day go much smoother.
Comments:
I started on Camel lights. Definitely a good blend, but as a more "seasoned" smoker I definitely know there are greener pastures out there. If your low on cash these are ok, but if you are really looking for a good smoke there are better blends.
Comments:
Pretty standard Camel flavor, weak buzz. For light smokers, you may have found your match. For me? No way.
Comments:
I must admit I really enjoy these. Smooth, tastes great, and cheap; can't get much better than that.
Comments:
I started smoking these in high school. Since then I haven't found any other cigarette that can compare. They are pleasant and mild, while being relatively cheap! I recommend these fully.

My personal favorite non menthol Camel. Doesn't have the aftertaste Filters have.
