Ok, so me and my friends today were like high as a kite on some trees today, so anyways, like we started talking about these high cigarette prices and shit and my friend was like "If it gets to like over 7.00 bucks a pack, I ain't paying that shit". and so I was like "What are you gonna do instead?" and he was like "F*ck it, why buy them when you can just bum them from everyone else?" So, me and my friend agreed that like from now on, we're done buying 6-7 bucks for packs of smokes- from now on- we decided that asking people who are insane enough to pay these prices for their smokes is the best way to go about this....

Sounds stupid but I carry a pack of "Cigarettes" on hand at all times for bums. Want one? Hell I paid $12 for a carton last time I was on base and yes "Cigarettes" is the brand. Bums are freaking horrible so why not have complete shit in hand to let bums try .

About a week or two ago I was at a MMA event as "the burger king king" well, after all was said and done there was about 3 hours left of the fight and as i was outside somebody said to me that they didnt see me in there and i told em that i was disguised as the king, promptly every person pretty much knew who i was and i kept getting asked to go out for a smoke, and each time they gave me a single,a couple, and a few people ended up just giving me a fresh pack because i was entertaining and by the end of the night i had a fair amount, still havnt finished smoking em all yet

Dude, c'mon man. Bumming off strangers is something you should only do under extreme circumstances, not because you're being stingy. When you do bum, however, you should always be very thankful and if the person seems interested and not busy, feel free to engage them in conversation. Also, if you are able to do it, you should be willing to bum cigarettes so long as it's not happening excessively. Just remember that you've been there before and you know how much it sucks.

I generally offer people a cigarette if I've just met them or I'm talking to them outside when I light one up, to avoid the awkward moment and to be generally polite. Smoking is a great social lubricant.
