Should you try dipping tobacco before trying snus? I tried it and it made my stomach hurt and caused the room to spin.FYI, It was a can of Grizzly snus.

I, too, dislike dipping tobacco. It made me sick too, plus spitting is a big turn off for me. I am, however, a snus user. It's a totally different experience than dipping or chewing tobacco. You simply put a pouch in your upper lip and leave it in there for about a half an hour. No spitting required. Snus is also in my opinion a hundred times better than dipping tobacco. I would say if you're interested in trying snus go for it. For American snus, I personally like Camel. My favorite though is from Sweden. It's harder to find, so you're mileage may vary in terms of finding it. The brand is General. In my opinion, it's the best snus there is.

Snus? No. Dipping tobacco, yes, it did make me quite nauseous.

Maybe the snus I tried had a high nicotine content. Any recommendations for a good snus brand for a beginner thats easy to find(skoal,marlboro,camel etc.)

Like some members have said, I don't like "dip" tobacco.
It's just to messy with spit and grit.

I have not tried all snus brands, but currently I like the Marlboro
mint.

Camel snus is also good.

For a beginner, I would recommend Camel Snus Frost or Marlboro Snus Peppermint. From my experience, those have the lowest nicotine content.

Thanks for all the help, I'll probably go with Marlboro Mint. I'm hoping they have more flavors to choose from in the future specifically wintergreen. I'm in love with anything and everything wintergreen flavored.

This isn't gonna sway me at all, but this guy is not in love with American snus:

I tried Camel Winterchill, which there version of wintergreen. I couldn't stand to keep it in my mouth more than 5 mintues. It tasted bad(nothing like wintergreen)and made my gums burned.

I'm gonna try to find Marlboro/General Mint next go around.

If mint is your preference, definitely go for the General Mint. If you're looking for something weaker, Camel Frost. You won't regret it. Also, If you don't like the Camel Winterchill, you probably won't like the Marlboro. It has, from my experience, the same kind of feel. Worth a try though, everybody has their own preference and their own taste.
