Ordering online cigs vs. snus Since snus is manufactured in sweden and 99.9 percent of people including myself had no idea what it was 10 years ago your probably wondering where to get it I thought I'd do a quideline on how to get it online.
First a couple differences ordering snus is completely legal (for now at least). The main businesses that ship to the U.S. are Buysnus and northerner. You may be on a different site but essentially they're owned or contract through one of these two sites, getsnus.com is owned by northerner and snuscentral which I use is in a way a separate company but their orders are shipped by buysnus. Buysnus/snuscentral is based in sweden and it costs about 30 dollars to ship a package with more than I think 4 cans so it's economic to do large orders of at least 30+ cans which will bring it below 5 dollars a can, the site has starter packages and random cans, you can order single cans of any variety you want but it's cheaper to order rolls (10 cans) but I wouldn't recommend doing that except for random cans. They also offer a 10 percent discount for 1st time orders. The customer service is good for both companies if you didn't get what's in your order or receive a damaged can they usually mail you a replacement often at great cost. One piece of advice with northerner they won't ship your order until they have everything you ordered so it might be worth sending them an e-mail if it's been a few days and your package hasn't shipped. Sweden has a different time zone so orders won't be processed, e-mails won't be read and packages won't be shipped when you might expect.
They both frequently have sales or special deals on cans like reduced price, buy 10 for 7 or buy 5 get 2 free. Shipping is usually fast (4 to 7 days) and both companies will e-mail you a ups code to track your package. You have to be 21 to sign for the UPS package for some reason that I have no idea of which means you have to be home or at work when the UPS man comes.
Snus costs about thirty percent more on northerner and they apply Federal and state tobacco taxes and in some states sales tax at purchase. Snuscentral/buysnus doesn't charge taxes and leaves that responsibility to the recipient. Northerner's american warehouse in based in Pennsylvania so shipping is slightly cheaper and faster. In the theoretical situation one was to not fill out their tax forms snuscentral is usually slightly cheaper unless you live in a state with a low smokeless tobacco tax. They have a wider selection in some products (Gosh there's about 100+ and they're all completely different) and they also stock hard to find dip and chewing tobacco, but don't have products not registered with the FDA (new law, the main ones are skurf and knox other products like camel(JTI), Lucky Strike (Bat), Montecristo, Romeo Y' Julieta are illegal to ship because of trademark issues or the contents containin cuban tobacco or are less popular gellivare, chess, etc.). Northerner has to put two warning label stickers warning you of the product causing mouth cancer, addiction (my favorite label), not being a safe alternative to cigarettes, and causing gum disease and tooth loss, these labels are harder to peel of than the old ones, snus central/buysnus wraps the can in plastic and has paper with the warnings. If you're wondering the swedish warning on the bottom says this product can damage your health and is addictive, which was changed in 2001 from this product may cause mouth cancer after the EU tobacco panel determined that there was no scientific evidence to support the label which although the original reason for the ban on sale of snus in european countries did not reverse the ban.
