Yes, we smokers have been misused. The people are the ones who have the main choice in what law is passed. Then why are the non-smokers deciding the laws for smokers. They will not be affected in any way shape or form, but they have such a great dislike for cigarettes. They think that they are going to get sick and die from lung cancer or heart disease from the very smell of a cigarette. Well, they need to be re-educated and they need to know that a smoker is just as equal to a non-smoker too. Cigarettes are being unfairly taxed. And why? So the government can spend the money on BS. Most of the schools are poorly funded the streets are crumbling the crime is high. Well, where does the money go? The money goes to more law making, more facilities to rake in the cash, over paid law makers. The money isn’t rightfully spent and taxes are too high. The only reason that cigarettes are taxed so high is because we smokers don’t do anything about it.

We need to come together and fight this. If we let things go with out doing anything it’s going to be against the law before we know it. They should let advertising be equal as well as having a fair tax law. If the fast food industry is so bad for the American people then they shouldn’t allow the advertising for it, and tax the hell out of it. And, I have no doubt that with out advertising and higher prices people will still go there. I’m not saying that the fast food industry should be put through that misery; rather the smokers should have a relief. If America want to be fair then they need to change there laws and be fair, or I think they should just take up the name of communist. No one should be unfairly treated especially if it’s just a common dislike. And I know for a fact that too much of anything can make you violently ill, and not just cigarettes. Let the American people know its bad, and then leave it alone.

Hi Camelman, I quoted you in a myspace blog about smokers rights that was titled: "Why are non-smokers deciding laws for smokers?". I hope you don't mind. What you said is really good. I wish more people would get on board and think about all this stuff we smokers have to put up with.
