The next time a pip-squeak anti tells you 45k-100k nonsmokers die per year from SHS, ask him/her "Where's your darn proof on this? I wanna see at least 1,000 death certificates that state smoking and/or 2nd hand smoke is the direct cause of these deaths!

Last time I checked, I neva saw a nonsmoker drop dead on the spot from SHS inhalation in my whole life!

Yeah, 2nd hand smoke is nebulous. There have been a few well publicized (and funded) studies saying it "contributes" to other illnesses, but far more saying it's not really a factor at all. Also an interesting thing: incidence of asthma, lung cancer, etc... in America have actually increased, despite only half the amount of smokers as 50 years ago. Methinks there are other far bigger factors.

If second hand smoke is dangerous and deadly, then most of the Baby Boom Generation should be now be dead or dying.

They grew up in clouds of second hand smoke. Smoking was allowed virtually everywhere.
