Top O Matic
So far, I'm loving my Top O Matic rolling machine. There is just one thing that it does that drives me absolutely crazy. Sometimes, the tobacco doesn't stuff all the way, and other times my cigs are packed so tight, they are barely smokeable. I've tried it with the 100s options, my cigs turn out solid as can be. The only problem is, they are "too solid", if you know what I mean. They are so tight they aren't smokeable at all. Any thoughts?
I just got mine and have made six packs. Last four were perfect.
Definitely pack both ends of the tobacco trough and then fill the middle section. Mine, doing this, come out tight to the filter and some hanging out the lighted end. They draw perfectly; will not cave in your head.
Just do it this way and try different qty. It will be good.
Just got mine today. Rolled about 2 packs so far getting the hang of it.
I rolled a few too tight & a few too loose. Figure a few days of using it I'll have it down fairly well.
Rolling the 100,s now and noticing a faster reduction in my tobacco!
OK, Another Top-O-Matic Question
I want to try the Gizeh Silver Tip Extra Tubes
With Extra Long Filter ( believe I'd prefer longer filter on my kings).
Some sites indicate that I'd need a special injector to stuff these tubes. Other folks say my TOM should work fine on these tubes as is.
I've ordered the tubes, so a difinitive answer would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.
I recently got a Bugler brand hand injector and a couple boxes of cig tubes. I'm using Gambler red tubes and Smoker's Best blue (lights, I believe).
I produce some enjoyable smokes with the injector, and it's not terribly difficult to use, but there are a few problems with the end result. I'm considering getting this Topomatic machine everyone's raving about, if it would correct these issues.
Firstly, the tobacco falls out of the open end very easily. If I drop one of these cigarette, sometimes more than half of the tobacco pours out! I have to hold the cigs carefully until I light them, and afterwards, the cherry often falls out and I have to relight it.
Secondly, all the tubes I can find are a bit wider (and slightly longer) than regular king size cigs, and I wind up smoking more tobacco at once than I want. Nothing thinner than tubes like these will fit in the hand injector.
Would using a Topomatic correct either of these problems? Does the tobacco stay in cigarettes produced by this machine better, like it does in manufactured cigarettes? Can any sort of thinner-width tubes be used on a Topomatic, or does it only take these wide, so-called "king size" tubes you find at lots of smoke shops?
On a related note, does any company sell REAL king sized tubes, with the same width as the actual king sized cigarettes sold everywhere? I'd prefer to not be burning up so much tobacco (and getting a big headbuzz) with every cigarette I smoke.
