Default What am I Smoking?

After trying out Camel Filters Menthol and reading some reviews for Newports I decided to pick up a pack of Newport Mediums. However, they didn't have any at the gas station I picked them up at, the guy just said they had "Newports." On the front of the pack it says "Menthol Box" and on the bottom simply "Box." I'm relatively new to smoking so I'm not sure what this all means. I wanted to write a review on these but I'm not exactly sure what brand they are. There's no "Box" or "Menthol Box" category on the reviews page.

So what exactly am I smoking?

If you can take a picture with your phone and place it on imageshack I am sure we can determine what it is. Does the cigarette say Menthol on it or Newport?

I don't have any way to take a picture but this is what the pack looks like:

The cigarettes themselves say "Newport."

Hi Frank, that is a picture of Newport Menthol KS Box. Go to the homepage of CigReviews, click on "Find by Brand" on the left navigation, Click "Newport" and the Menthol KS Box is #9 on the list with zero (0) reviews. Click on "0 Reviews" and write your review. Thanks for your support.

Hey Frank,

As a Newport smoker myself, I hope you liked your experience of smoking Newport Shorts (as smokers in my community calls them). I'll check your review out.

I prefer the longer Newports. But I definitely think if you are gonna smoke, always buy cigs in boxes. The cigs will get crushed in soft packs.

Box refers to it being a hard pack, as opposed to soft pack. As for the size, regular cigarettes are called "king size" , and the extra long ones are called 100s...hope that helps...happy smoking!

Regular actually refers to non-filter shorts everywhere else. But here it refers to KS. There is still no such thing as Parliament Lights "Lights".

I love it! That's good. Kind of like letting the inmates run the asylum. To me when I hear King Size cigarettes called "shorts" I go ballistic. Regular cigarettes are Camel, Lucky Strike, Chesterfield, and other 70mm ones. King Size are 85mm and of course we have 100mm which are long smokes. I won't even get into those damn 120mm ones that my lady friend smokes (VS Luxury Lights 120s). They look a mile long, LOL!

I wouldn't mind smoking Newport Kings if a pack of those only costed a buck. Because based on the modern cig prices, I get more drags and more tobacco for my money with 100's. 120's are nice but they're too long for me.

I hear 120s actually have the same amount of tobacco as a 100mm cig.
