Believe it or not, I have smoked otha Newport brands before. Like I said, I'm a rare Black smoker who is open to smoking otha brands, including non-menthols.

Newport Stripes - This is the only regular Newport brand I ever smoked. They were all-whites, and they had a cinnamon-like taste and smell to me. I believe this Newport brand is discontiued.

Newport 120s are discontinued too...unfortunately I neva tried em for myself.

Newport Lights - This Newport brand tastes nothang like a FF Newport. I know they lights. But most brands that are in lights taste similar to their FF counterparts, but they just have lighta smoke and a lighta taste. Marlboro Reds/Marb ites (as well as Seneca Reds/Seneca Lights) are examples of what I mean. Newport Lights taste GROSS! I can think of MUCH BETTA-TASTING menthol lights than these mothas!

Newport Medium - They taste ok...they make a good alternative for someone who doesn't want a strong Newport. But of all of the Newport brands I tried, Newport 100s taste the best.

Newport 100s in the soft packs are more mintier than the box 100s. But I can see why some regular smokers only smoke Newports for menthols. Newport BOX 100s taste more like a regular cig with a touch of menthol.
