Default Not Smoking Marlboros Anymore

They're just too expensive and burn way too fast. I'm not sure if it has something to do with being an FSC, but there's something in them that gives me a headache after just one cigarette.

I'm making Camel Blue 99's my regular smoke from now on, and Newport 100's my menthol.

Bye Bye Marlboro!

It's been a while since I bought a pack of cigarettes since switching to myo, but I remember marlboros burning insanely fast, I smoke pretty fast and all but they were gone in like two minutes. It varied though some would last a decent amount of time and some would burn so fast I felt like I hadn't really smoked and would light another. I can't think of any other cigs (Dunhill, Camel crush, pall mall, and even nf lucky strike) I've had that burn so fast. I see people at my work smoke them for two or three minutes then they're done since it's two thirds gone. Dunhill international are similar to reds in flavor being a little richer less harsh and burn longer, they cost like 50-70 cents more. Largo pipe tobacco(ryo relabelled) has a similar flavor to reds imo too and they're cheap.

I smoked Marlboros for years. They use to be a really
good cigarette with a great flavor.

I don't know what happened, but back in the early 90s I started
to notice a change. I remember sometimes opening a pack and the filter paper
wasn't even wrapped on right.

But the big think I noticed was the flavor. My wife even noticed they were started
to smell bad.

I eventually stopped buying them and tried other brands.

I have friends who will say the same thing about Marlboros and have left the brand.

It would be interesting to know what Phillip Morris did to mess up a once really good cigarette.

I noticed a big change when they went FSC.I cannot stand the reds now.I smoked them for 20 years so I should be able to tell the difference.Of course pm said they didnt change anything but the paper.I smoke Lucky Strike and Camels now.I think Reynolds makes a better FSC.Most pm smokes taste like crap now and give me headaches. The exception is the Marlboro 27 blend.I do like those still.Nothing beats a Lucky though.

I'm glad you are not a heavy smoker.

Going from Marlboros to Camel 99s???!! At least get the original Camel Lights, there is something funky about the 99 version which reminds me of filtered Pall Malls.
