Default I'm Abandoning Marlboro

I honestly Just really can't take it anymore. I love the taste of Marlboro Reds, they are fantastic. They just burn too god damn fast. My Best friend is a Camel Smoker, and I know that Marlboro's burn fast when we are smoking at the same pace and his smoke lasts Twice as long as mine. I'm not shelling out more for Marlboro anymore. Let me know when they finally decide to make them burn a little slower. Anybody got a good alternative to Marlboro that has a similar taste and burns slower? Camels used to be my brand, but I'm really not a fan of the taste anymore.

If you mean a brand that can only be bought OFFLINE, I honestly can't think of a Marlboro alternative. All of the offline brands will be FSCs by the end of the year.

Seneca Reds are a definite alternative. Senecas taste like Marlboro Reds, and they burn slower than Marlboro.

Welcome aboard! I was in your exact shoes about a couple years ago, I used to be a straight up marlboro red smoker, then I was introduced to Camel Filters and haven't changed since then. Now that's all I smoke, although, I occasionally do like a marlboro Blend No. 27 every now and then. If you're going to switch Camel, try the Turkish Royal blend, great flavor.

Do you notice any differences with Winstons as far as the rate of the Winston burning is concerned? Do Winstons have those speed bumps in the FSC paper of the actual cig?

I am a big Winston Full Flavor fan and I have been noticing that they burn a faster since FSC, but still not as fast as Marlboro though a lot faster being a in the fact that it's a Winston.

I agree, Marlboro's burn WAY too fast! I'm switching to another brand as soon as my remaining packs run out...

I agree my new favorite brand of Marlboro Lights burn faster than Newports. I'll leave a post on the Newport forum as to why I stopped smoking them.

But I actually think it's good Marlboros burn faster. It makes it easier for me to smoke in a prohibited area without getting caught. Like it takes me only 5-6 mins to smoke a Marlboro Light 100. But it would take me 8-10 mins to smoke a Newport 100. Even if I take pumps on the Newport.

Pumping is taking and inhaling multiple drags on your cig before exhaling the smoke.
