So I'm on call today and I see an unknown number coming in. I was a little bored with the call so I answered it. It's Phillip Morris USA calling me about something or another. The guy sounded southern so it seemed legit, I dont think it was a tele-marketer but I told him to call me back. He never did, shit - hope it wasnt the prize guy telling me I won a trip to the ranch!


Anyone else ever get calls from tobacco companies?

I rememba getting a call from RJR in 2002 0r 2003. It was a lady, and she said "We're gonna send you a pack iof king-sized FF Green Labels and FF Black Labels." I guess this must've been during the time when RJR wanted to "test-market" the Black Label Salems in particular.

And afta I smoked those two free packs, I had to fill out and mail a survey (that was included with the packs) that was based on how those brands were to me. With you know, rating the Salem brands and pointign out how likely it would be if I bought em again?

I filled and mailed the survey out. But I definitely won't smoke Salems anymore period. I'm more used to smoking Native cigs now.

no, never, next time, you ought to see what they want, maybe they were going to give you coupons...I know some friends that signed up for it and they contacted them directly.

I would have taken that call. Maybe they were going to award you with cash or expensive trip. To me, that's sort of like throwing your winning lottery ticket in the trash IMHO.
