Default Marlboro smokeless tobacco?

I heard of PM test-marketing their own version of a Marlboro smokeless tobacco brand in a can. If anyone has seen the smokeless Marlboro before, is this tobacco in a can or pouches?

Here's what I found online on this topic. Although this page is 2 years old.

Marlboro-Branded Smokeless Tobacco Coming
August 22, 2007

A new moist-snuff product to be released this fall by Philip Morris will bear the Marlboro name and sell for about $3 per can, the Associated Press reported Aug. 21.

The Marlboro-branded smokeless tobacco will come in long- and fine-cut varieties and be rolled out in the Atlanta area. "This new type of moist snuff product offering kind of builds on that premium tobacco experience that Marlboro represents," said Philip Morris USA spokesman David Sutton.

Analysts say that the company will "fully cement" its place in the smokeless-tobacco market by leveraging its most famous brand. "We anticipate that PM USA will be able to attract the majority of smokers that will cross over into the smokeless market, as well as attract existing moist users," said Citibank tobacco industry analyst Bonnie Herzog.

Seems like this smokeless tobacco product is still being test-marketed, according to a late 2008 article I read online. Based on the images I saw online of Smokeless Marlboro, they appear to be in the pouches, similar to Camel Snus and Revel (anotha smokeless tobacco product that's available in pouches).

The dip must not of done well. I haven't seen it in Santa Barbara or Seattle. I've heard the snus is a conspiracy that smokers will try it and either hate it or use it in addition to smoking rather than trying swedish snus. The six pouches at two dollars does seem to support that and I've heard there's barely any nicotine in them because they're so dry you don't absorb much. Some people seem able to cut back or switch from smoking to camel snus if they want.

Marketing these is bringing down the fury anti-tobacco people as they're hoping smoking bans make people uncomfortable enough being unable to smoke that they will quit and snus just keeps them smoking.
