Hi my friend told me that all real Marlboro cigs should have the word Marlboro printed on the clear plastic film, you can only see the word if you blow your breath into the clear plastic film. It is kind of transparency. So I got a carton from my uncle yesterday and they did not have the word on the plastic film. My question is that does ALL Marlboros (different states, I am in NY) have the word on the plastic film? Thanks.

Can you test it out on your current pack for me? And please let me know where you got that pack from? My guess is that The NEW counterfeit process has deleted this transparent shadow for the newer batches. I can SWEAR that I tested it out on my own cigs and my friends cigs, and we all saw the transparent shadow on the plastic film (note you must take the box itself out of the plastic to see it). I am just worried because my current cig does not have the shadow on the plastic.

So I went to the store and brought a pack of Marlboro and it appeared that it does not have the transparent shadow on the plastic. I feel much better now. To me it seems like Marlboro has stopped/changed their way of counterfeiting their products. So the newer batches should not have the shadow on plastic. The older real or fake Marlboros will have the shadow. Pretty sure this is a very recent change to their packaging.
