[Chief Smoker]

Has anyone tried these yet? I just got an email from Marlboro today announcing the new Black. I'd love to get some other opinions on these.

The one thing that annoys me about the Marlboro site is every time I log in it asks me to take a survey about which brands I smoke.... I've filled this thing out like 10 times over the years and they still keep asking!!

I haven't seen them yet. I keep asking
and they don't have them. I thought they
were supposed to be out the 12th of Dec.
I really wish we could get them w/o FSC.
They most likely would be 95% better smoke...

I finally found some! I've been looking all week in New York and New Jersey, but nothing. Im in Florida now and found them in Key Largo. They only had 100s, but I really wanted to try them. Long story short......They suck. I usually smoke reds, so when the Ad said "Bold" I figured it was a heavier cigarette. It was like I was smoking an ultra light. Barely any flavor at all. I'm bummed.

Im assuming that the one to the right is a menthol variety of it?

Not to shabby,if you could get rid of the
damned FSC papers. Actually not bad at
all.Got a pack of black shorts full flavor.
I had been looking for 2 weeks. Good for the
price $4.55 and add a buck off to it so makes
it $3.55 a pack.
I'll only get em every now and then,like my
RYO the best.

bought a pack yesterday, (Menthol) they just arrived and really enjoyed them. reminds me of a stronger Newport but smoother if that makes sense.

Are they actually made with black cig paper?

No,they are plain brown filter /white tubes,but I
did notice it says Special Blend on the side of the pack,so\
I'm assuming these are going to take the place of the
Special Blend Series...Nothing fancy about these !

I agree 100% with gatrman. I've tried the shorts full flavor blacks and they're pretty good but nothing really spectacular. I think a little smoother than the Reds. Just something good to switch to once in awhile. And as Gatrman said if we could only get rid of the damn FSC then they might really be a good cig. Certainly RYO is better.

I just read that these are just a re branding of the SB's. Except for the Menthol 100's. Not sure cause i never smoked a SB before.
