Hey. I've only started the heavy smoking lately. I used to be just a casual smoker, you know, only smoking when I go out with friends. But my smoking habit changed a lot.

I normally smoke the Marlboro Black Menthol's. Now that I smoke a lot, I noticed that too much of them would cause my throat to ache. When I'm around on my 8th stick, I notice that my throat gets really irritated and I tend to cough.

any of you menthol cigarette smokers feel the same thing?? :P

How long does it take for you to get to the 8th or 10th stick?

I noticed that menthols don't become stale. They become nasty with time. The fresher the better.

At the same time, you want to avoid keeping smoke in your throat. Either keep it in your mouth or send it directly to your lungs.

That only happens with me when I some non-menthols. But as long as your not chain smoking but marlboro menthol blacks are extemely menthol-y so that maybe it because of the fiberglass but I think they taste too menthol-y anyways.

You're throat will eventually adjust. Really, try to slow down a bit, I know it's hard not to chain smoke sometimes. I went up to two packs of Marlboro Reds a day last summer and I developed a nice healthy smoker's hack. Not very attractive, and when I got sick it was horrible and disgusting. Try to pace yourself, don't chain smoke or you'll start feeling sick.

...are extremely mild menthol flavoring...I had my 1st few today...to me it was like smoking an ultra-ultra menthol light to me, very airy & not near powerful enough. I'm an avid Vir. Slim Menthol smoker for years & when the store is out of mine I purchase Marlboro Menthols...In my opinion, those are far more...Menthol-y...
And dude, your throat was probably hurting because you had started to smoke more...
