Smile senior smoker here!

Hello evryone.
I am from N.W. Fl. and have been a smoker for 59 years. I purchased a fresh choice machine and shredder along with their full flavor tobacco 2 months ago.
I must say that I have not enjoyed smoking this much since the "good old Days", of camels, luckeys and chesterfields.
To be able to make my own smokes free of all that garbage they put in/on them these days is great! Not to mention the $ savings. There was a learning curve with the fc machine concerning moisture, shred texture, etc. but I feel I have mastered it. Would like to share my experiences and comunicate with others who have been RYO/MYO for a long time or are deeper into it than I.
Better late than never. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

ansoda ...

Although I am also new to the board here, I will also say 'welcome'.

I am also from Florida. The Fort Myers area to be exact. I am kind of a "snowbird" I guess, but in a strange way ... I live part of the year in Florida, and the rest in the Philippines.

You may be interested to note that a carton of Marlboro red costs about $7.00, and a carton, and Camel filters is about $6.00. If you can gag down local Filipino cigarettes, you can buy Fortune brand for about $4.00 per carton.

I too am getting interested in rolling my own, but I know nothing about it other than I need to buy some kind of rolling machine, some tubes and tobacco by the pound. I now understand that the US government has raised the tax on bulk cigarette tobacco so much, that although it still may be slightly cheaper than buying generic cigarettes in this country, it's not at all the deal it was before .... Thank's uncle Sam!

Keep in touch ..
