Default I miss the good ol' days of smoking

I see the online smoke shops I used to buy my cartons from are closed. When I type in their addy in the browser, their sites are no longer in existence. Oh well....

I got caught smoking in the restroom on my job a few weeks ago. But I didn't get fired. It's still crazy smoking on the job is in the same class as stealing moolah on the job. But I guess I need to remind myself "If I think getting fired for smoking on the job is BS, what about workers who smoke away from THEIR jobs and they get fired?"

I may not have lived in the 60s. But I did live in a time where smoking was a lot more normal in public. Now it seems like when I'm holding a cig, that's like the same thing as me smoking a joint or coke to nonsmokers. I was actually making a serious point with that humor.

I predict Obama will lose in the 2012 election. It ain't just smokers who hate the President. Americans who are still waiting for the new jobs he promised hate him too.

Hey! A rare time where I have a comment not directly related with smoking! lol

Cool

You can still order from overseas shops and get your order delivered if you pay extra for Express Mail. Don't know how much longer this will be. Everybody appears to be still getting their packages from the post office even with the Pact Act looming over all of it.

I predicted several months ago that Native shippers would just find another delivery company or create their own. It appears that this is being done now by a few Native Americans. If the Pacman act is enforced, these new delivery agents will do very well until the government comes along and ends it like they did with UPS, FedEx and DHL.

I was in a local bar recently and I saw a guy who refused to take his cigarette outside, get his butt kicked by the bar owner. After a short altercation, a bouncer threw the man out the side door face first. We could all hear the man screaming from outside that he was going to sue.

I second your prediction that Obama will lose out on the 2nd term. He IS hated around here in my town. All the Democrats are hated. I am being SPAMMED by members of the DNC and am getting sick of it. I reply with "UNSUBSCRIBE" in the subject line and they ignore it. I'm getting emails from Obama, Pelosi, Reed and many others asking for money and support while demonizing Republicans. The emails are full of lies about all the wonderful things the Dems have done for us in the last 2 years. Really makes me sick...

I hope you are doing well CoolJay. Nice to read your posts again.

I'm doing well. I'm still smoking Newport 100s. And I still hate how cigarettes are treated like illegal drugs in the USA. I remember getting arrested for selling just a cig to 2 women back in May. My case was thrown out in June.

I wish I was around back in those days.

I feel like a shady criminal whenever I go out to smoke during work, or after eating at a restaurant.

It would be pretty sweet to light up during a meal or smoke in front of my work and have nobody think twice about it.

I think you should sue them for taking advantage of you CoolJay. What if you gave them the cigarettes for free? Would you still have been arrested for that? Did it happen at your workplace or around where you hang out at? Did you have to go to the jail or you just got a ticket?

I go out in public and smoke my home-made filtered cigarettes filled with cheap pipe tobacco everyday. Nobody ever says nothing to me when I light up in any restaurant, grocery store, post office, gold's gym, etc...and accosts me in any way. If you are a big and scary person and you don't give a care what anyone thinks about your smoking, you may be able to do the same. If you are in a state like Florida and you have a bad ass Aura about you, not to worry. If you are in and around Chicago, IL ...well then, you know you got smoke cops looking in your windows at home. ObamaLand is Chicago. He made it there as a politician first.

Oh well, I'd say if you show timidity to someone who tells you to put your cigarette out or take it somewhere else, you should move it or put it out. However, if you have the courage of your convictions and you can back it up, just ignore them and continue smoking or tell them to "beat it" and continue smoking.

I spent a few hours in jail on the same day I got arrested back in May. The case was thrown out in June. And I did not have to pay a ticket. Most people who witnessed my arrest agree the cops never should've arrested me in the first place.

Tell me about it. I will be 39 next week and have been smoking for 23 years. I remember being able to smoke in the break room at high school and college as well as in the places I worked at until 2002. I also remember paying $10 for a carton of any cigarette. I started with Tareyton and Lark and those now run almost $70 in Indiana where I live. Nuts, isn't it?

Let's not even get into the fact that I am paying for f**king FSC garbage that tastes like s**t and makes me sick and gives me a sore throat. God what a sad state this country is in. How did we get to this state? In just 20 years this country has gone down the toilet. If you smoke you are looked upon like a child molester or some evil thing from the fires of hell.

Some states have really gone over the edge like California and New York telling you that you can't even smoke outside if you are in a certain area. Freedom my ass! The saddest thing of all is that it will never come back or get any better, only worse. Thanks to Bracko and his pack of cronies running this country now.
