Does anyone know what happened to Cigarettes Direct? The website is down with a message saying they are doing maintenance and a recording on their phone that says they can't take any orders right now.

Are they gone for good? Anyone know what happened to them?

Their Intl. credit card processor has more than likely closed there account. It happens whenever some anti-smoking loon brings it to the attention of the Gov. and the Gov. decides they are "trying to smuggle" a legal product. I know many vendors were getting ready to close when Obama signs the pact act into law so it's uncertain if they will even bother to return for such a short time in business. So many more jobs lost.....

HAVE BEEN ORDERING CARTONS OF CIGARETTES FOR ALMOST A YEAR WITH NO DIFFICULTIES. THERE WERE 2 SITES ONE WAS $1 CHEAPER PER CARTON BUT BOTH BILLED FROM SAME RETAILER. NOTICED ON NIGHT OF DECEMBER 7TH THAT COMPANY WAS ADDING MORE SITES , FIGURED THEY WERE EXPANDING THEIR BUISNESS. MADE MY ORDER AS USUAL, E-CHECK. FUNDS WITHDRAWN ON 12/09/2009. THE WEBSITES CLAIM UNDER MAINTENENCE, 800 # IS A MESSAGE SAYING NOT TAKING ORDERS. THERE IS A WEBSITE THAT HAS UPDATED LIST OF CIGARETTE RETAILERS THAT ARE ONLINE, ALL WEBSITES BY THIS COMPANY ARE GONE FROM LIST. SITES BELONGED TO CHAVEZ INC. OUT OF LOUISVILLE, KY. THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE HERE ALSO BEEN BURNED. DIDN'T NOTICE NAMES OF THE NEW SITES, DBESTONE, CIGARETTES DIRECT & A-1 CIG ARE THE 3 NAMES I KNOW. LOOKS 2 ME THAT THEY MADE AS MUCH FAST CASH AS POSSIBLE THAN SHUT EVERYTHING DOWN. WAITING FOR FRAUD DEPARTMENT AT MY BANK TO CALL ME, MIGHT HAVE TO CONTACT ATTORNEY GENERAL IN KENTUCKY.

For the love of God they did NOT steal your money. Why is it every time a company has been hit by the government the company is to blame but no one wants to point fingers to the damn democrats? My neighbors last order came in just a few days ago so just relax and orders will be filled I am sure. You are also in the biggest shipping time of the year so packages may be delayed for a few days so grandma's gifts can make it.

Please post a review of them on our site, if they did rip you off and they are no longer in business I suspect many others are in the same boat. Hopefully we can help out others as well.
