Default Discount smoke differences

So me and my room mate have been searching to no avail as to what exactly is the difference in discount smokes?? Like between John Players Standard (the discount brand) and Players cigarettes. IS it a quality difference or a cut difference? Is it the left over piece from regular Players smokes used in the Standards?? There is absolutely no relevent information anywhere on the web and the only two links we found that might have been useful were broken links. Conspiricy from the tobacco industry?? I think they just cut it different to sell cheaper and retain customers without raising concern. Anybody have this info please help!!

A lot of times when a cigarette is a "discount" or "value brand version" it does not mean the tobacco is second hand or floor scraps. It simply means the tobacco was cut with recycled tobacco known as reconstituted tobacco. Instead the blends relying heavy on how the tobacco is blended, as most premium brands are done, the standard tobacco is reliant on the reconstituted tobacco to give it that same flavor every smoke. Recon is simply tobacco flavor and nicotine extracted and sprayed on paper often leaving the smoker with a harsh throat hit on each puff. There have been many reports on recon tobacco in fact being much unhealthier cigarette due to chemicals used in the extraction process.

If thinking of looking for a discount smoke I would suggest you consider native american brands as a lot of them are 100% chemical free and allow you the pleasure of smoking when you want vs. premium cigarette chemicals which to me give me the itch to smoke slightly more and if in FSC paper A WHOLE LOT MORE!

you're better off getting a native brand of smoke if you want cheap price.

the generic brands like GPC, Ligget, Gold coast, etc..are terrible chem sticks. And cost more than most native brands, which use pure tobacco at a good price.

they arent for everybody though
