Man, can you believe this shit that is going on with this tobacco war right now? They are actually talking about passing a bill that bans the selling of cigarettes through mail? Are you kidding me? This is crap.

The way I see it- I think our country should go back to the old days of cigarettes. Think about it, in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, smoking wasn't looked at as such a big "sin" as it is today. Back in those days, everybody lit up where they pleased and nobody ever minded or cared. They also allowed the cool advertisements like Joe Camel, the Marlboro Man, and all of the other cigarette commercials you used to see on television. I remember when all restaraunts had "designated smoking" tables where you could choose to sit "smoking" or "non-smoking". Hell, even non smokers would buy ashtrays for their homes because if they had a smoking friend over- they'd be nice enough to let them use one of the ashtrays.

Nowadays, you can't smoke in any bar, restaraunt, subway, bus, or almost anywhere out in public. Hell, you can't even get any cig for a fair price these days. I'm just saying, if things were today like they were back then when smoking wasn't considered such a damn crime- I think things would be alot easier and better instead of the crap thats being pulled nowadays.

A lot more people smoked back then as well since cigs were a lot more affordable. There used to be a time when you could smoke not just in all public places but on buses and trains as well. I even heard planes used to give out free cigs during flights in the 80s.

Remember cig vending machines? How about seeing cig ads on the back cover of every magazine, including kid mags? Cig advertising on outdoor billboards is a thing of the past.

Land of the free.....home of the brave right? This is spiraling out of control way to fast with greed consuming more people every minute. It's about money and not about smoking anymore. At least I am happy to report that in NC for the first time they are targeting non-smokers with one of the biggest tax hikes on all service related industries. I am all for a tax hike on non-smokers. It's about time we welcome them to our "boat".
