Ok, so I dont know if anyone else gets this where they live, but where I live, there seems to be a lot of "discrimination" among smokers and brands. For example, people will assume "Oh, that guys' black, he must smoke newports or kools" or "Oh, she's a woman, she must smoke Virginia Slims or Misty". Or even "That guy is latino, so he smokes Cuban Cigars", come on. A cig is a cig. doesn't matter who it is or what they smoke.

When I see another smoker these days it's as if we are a band of brothers just by association with smoking. I have to say I talk more now with people on the street who smoke than I ever did before. My only hangup with some smokers is when they are proud of the Obama shirt they have on YET want to bitch to me about cigarette prices........WOW

theres not really much discrimination where im at, smokers are like a band of brothers as its been mentioned. Altho i would say people who smoke roll ups are generally seen as being "cheap" and roll ups are associatted more with pot smokers and old fishermen. threres neva any sort of racial implications to different brands and stuff no where i live

Too bad the Brit's can't share that camaraderie with their American counterparts. I think stateside most people would sell their own sole for a buck so it's just not the same here. Go REDCOATS! for standing up for each other. Something to be admired!

I would hope that our friends across the pond can help us in the battle against S.1147 because if it passes over here, it will happen there too eventually and sooner than later. The link to it is on the home page of this site under "Cigarette Links".
