Ok, so I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I have a friend who's currently in Medical School so he told me this, I'm not sure if I believe him or not. But he told me that cigarette smoking can help prevent a disease called "Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome"- or IBS for short. I forget what reason he gave for it, I think he said that like nicotine like has a positive effect on the bowels or something like that and it helps fight infections in the bowel. Anyways, just wondering if this thing I heard is true or not.

I havn't heard about IBS, but I did read something about it helping to prevent the likeliness of constipation and to help stimulate the bowels. So it would definitely make sense if it was declared to help prevent IBS!
