I was just wondering if anyone has an idea what generic brand is the best, or what most of you prefer. I have been a red man forever but just cannot afford $55 for a carton and almost $6 for a pack anymore. I have tried pall mall, didnt like the slow burn. and also have tried others. any ideas? need to switch to something cheaper until I quit which I am shooting for this year with the help of wellbutrin (hoping it works).

Gold Coast is my favorite Generic. Flavor isn't too bad and it gets the job done.

I went to the store to get a carton today and got sticker shock. I need a replacement as well - I haven't smoked anything BUT Marlboro Lights in years, so I'm clueless. I almost bought just any old thing, but I'd been here before and figured someone might have a recommendation.

Yes, but here called as "Cooper",of course the blend and design is the same. They are made by a small farmer's company called SEKAP, in a small town of Northern Greece called Xanthi.
They aren't much popular anymore( used to be at the 80s),but i think is a fair cigarette: tolerable,slow burning, in a low cost.

I find Richmonds are a good generic budget brand, there just generic full flavour ciggarettes. But unlike most cheap brands they don't have a terrible taste.

By "generic", I assume you mean "cheap brands"- which I'd say the best generic brand would be probably Pall Mall- those are generic and good as hell.
