I can agree with you there cooljay. Whenever I want a Menthol, it will always be a Newport.

See how you like it. I decided to try it because I came from a smoking household, so it was nothing to frown upon. I feel in love with Lucky Strikes personally, even though I do need to try more menthol's.

You don't get hooked from just one cig. We're all different, I've been smoking for four years now and I go long periods without smoking when I have to/want to. I choose to do it because it tastes great and it feels good. I think people should be more liberal about it.

well, hopefully one cigarette doesn't get you hooked, but it sure did with me...i can still remember it, i was 17, and i'll never forget that first rush from the first cigarette, so it really depends on your genetics i get, i was hooked from the first one, and my wife can smoke a pack a day for a week and then not smoke for 5 years, so it all depends on you.

Smoking is best thing I ever did. I love it. I started 35 years ago. I hope everyone gets to experience the pleasure of smoking.

No, you shouldn't start. It is an addiction. I should know. I smoke.
These people who talk about enjoying are just kidding themselves.
They are playing mind games to justify their addictions. Smoking is not enjoyable. Don't start.

I disagree with the above statement. I quit for a few weeks recently and found the first few days were the only hard days. Why did I start back up? I actually enjoy smoking and having a drink at the same time. For me it is the perfect habit for long car rides too. It is a trade off for me, smoke a menthol cigarette in the car (and get a nice taste of flavor) or possibly snack when I would normally smoke and turn into every other fat american (there is a real kiler....). People have been smoking for thousands of years so I think someone along the way also enjoyed it, as I do, over just saying it's an addiction.

smoking is addictive but its possible to do it moderately. I don't smoke everyday or even everyweek, usually when im drinking or high. Its an anti tobbaco that there's no pleasure in it I get a great although short lived buzz everytime I smoke may be genetics or because im not a heavy smoker but yeah I usually feel very high for about 2 and a half mins after a cig. Its a subtle but great feeling.
