Default Fire Safe Cigarette Paper

Is anybody else getting a rough throat because of the fire safe cigarette paper? Have these folks really done any research on the effects of all these new chemicals they've added to make the cigarette extinguish? My throat is starting to feel awful, and it only started happening after fire safe cigarettes were introduced...anybody else?

which brand are you using? i also find it with zig zags that they make my throat burn whether if its for rolling a joint or tobacco, i usually stick with american spirit flax or balishags i find it less burning, but i didnt know it was due to the fire safe shit, ive been hearing alot about the fire safe cigs and papers, i mean arent there enough additives in cigarettes without adding more chemicals? that is why i switched to rolling my own tobacco and or smoking natives, though i do crave marlboro 27s or turkish royals once in a while

Actually at first when I heard about FSC it made me mad, and I heard stories from peoples cigarettes going out on them often when they smoked, they don't bother me much. So far I've avoided all of the bad things that FSC can do to a smoker.

The only FSC brand I've ever smoked was Newports. And I never experienced cherries falling off of my cigs at any given time as I smoke, and I never had to worry about relighting a Newport 4 times.

A year ago, FSC Newports DID taste like crap. But they seem to taste closer to the Newports I've been smoking for years, despite the face "FSC" is stil on the pack/carton's bar codes.

FSC actually stands for fire START cigs. Based on what I heard about the FSC Marlboros, thank goodness Newports ain't as dangerous as those.

I get a small headache when I smoke Newports sometimes now. But I think that has more to do with me smoking various brands over the past 2 months. When I smoked Newports all of the time, I felt NO headaches at all...and nor have I felt a sore throat from smoking any brand.

yeah I've noticed that too, my throat starts burning three fourths of the way down on the cigarette and this fsc makes the cigs taste terrible, I can just feel the chemicals on my tounge when i smoke my marlboros.

that's what i mean, i hear that from everyone and their dog, at the end of the day, how long did these folks really test the fire safe cigarettes and ALL the NEW Chemicals to determine it isn't going to be awful for us...look, i'm an adult and i understand inhaling smoke in my lungs is bad, but i can deal with that, but i don't want all these bs chemicals added to it too!
