Has anyone noticed how ridiculous they are getting lately?

Two of them caught my eye, the one against mailing them where the guy is trying to mail things that can spread "arsenic and cyanide" and the man behind the counter is giving him a hard time and everyone is looking at him like he's crazy. But he just opens the box to reveal they're cigs.

The other one is with all the toy babies on the ground and people looking dumbfounded at them, it leads to someone picking one of them up it says on the bottom, "How do babies get away from secondhand smoke? At some point they learn to crawl."

Other ones that come to memory are the "Magical Amount of Nicotine" one with the animation, one about a year back with the yellow tape that is seeping through an apartment building and it turns out to be from a cig, and the ones with the grim reapers that turn out to be people giving out cigs.

These commercials drive me nuts, they spend god knows how much on these to spread this stuff to other anti-smokers only making them more pissed at smokers. The money would be better spent on programs for those who actually want to quit.

I'm getting upset with myspace.com . They keep showing tobacco-free Florida ads on my homepage. I keep sending messages to Tom asking for them to quit showing me the ads but I never get a response.

Sounds like there were antismoking commercials during the Super Bowl. I'm glad I didn't catch them.

It's been a LONG time since I saw a Truth commercial. I remember seeing THOSE antismoking commercials during Super Bowls and Final Fours in the earlier years of this decade.

I see the Truth site is still up. But I guess they don't have the funds to make TV commercials anymore, thank goodness!

Who are you responding to when you say it sounds like there were Super Bowl anti smoking commercials? Just wondering. I don't see any mention of it in any post above. Are YOU saying that YOU DID SEE anti smoking commercials on the SB broadcast?

I didn't see any during the Superbowl, but I'm seeing them everywhere else, I'm not sure if it's just a California thing or if it's a nationwide thing though for the commercials I've seen lately.
