| I can think of a few US-based cig brands that are no longa in existence. Twist was a menthol brand from the 70s with a touch of lemon in the taste. I guess that brand didn't last long cause not too many smokers liked the taste of lemon mint cigs. I heard of anotha brand from the 70s that were wintergreen-flavored cigs. But me dunno the name of the brand....me saw the ad on the back cover of a 1974 Ebony mag. Speaking of cig ads in the 60s and 70s, big tobacco made smoking cigs sound like eating candy within their ads back then. Cigs are betta for your health than sugary candy, that's for sure. LOL!! Sterling (a menthol brand from the early 90s), Newport Reds from the early 80s, Newport Stripes/Newport 120s, and Alpine (a menthol brand) are some more US brands no longa on the market. I think Alpine is actually available outside of the US though. I'm sure some on here have some old cig brands that they miss seeing in the 21st century.

I actually bought a carton of Twist once when I was younger. I'm pretty sure Misty full flavors are gone. Which is too bad since I quit smoking Virginia Slims when they quit sending me coupons in the mail. I switched to Misty menthol 120's, but I'd much rather be smoking Misty full flavor menthol 100's.

These are gone: Lark (which was my first cigarette along with Tareyton) Viceroy Old Gold Chesterfield Commander (Philip Morris) Benson & Hedges Multi-Filter and some that were once good tasting have changed to a generic cigarette: Pall Mall (I think you can still get the original non-filter ones though) L&M Some I don't see any more but still may be around: Vantage More Kent

Hi! More 120s are still around - but getting harder and harder to find. Plus they are close to $10 a pack here in Massachusetts! I'm so glad I have friends in Florida and North Carolina who are willing to send them to me

Dakota was a brand that was marketed by RJR in select markets in the early 90's. I was given a pack at a club and smoked them for about a year as they were quite a bit cheaper than Marlboro and tasted the same. Then someone in RJR leaked a report to the media that showed Dakota was being marketed towards women smokers. Almost overnight they discontinued the brand.
