Default How often do you buy cartons?

I think this is an appropriate Q, since a lot of smokers on this forum buy by the pack.

If you buy any cartons of your favorite brand(s) at all, how often do you buy one? When you reach your goal of having enough saved-up "carton money?"

This Q doesn't apply to smokers who buy cigs online as I do. Cause buying by the carton is our ONLY option. No online smoke shop that I know of allows you to buy only packs.

One smoke shop used to give me free packs with my carton orders in 2007. But that smoke shop discontinued giving free packs.

Some of the Native online shops will give you free extra cartons of "Samplers" when you order the samplers. This one that I use a lot recently gave me four additional cartons of Samplers when I ordered and paid for only 2 cartons of samplers. That's 40 free packs of cigs! I remember an Indian site that offered free packs on their site. I also remember that site came under fire and was shut down by anti's and politicians claiming that "Kids" were getting those free packs of cigs.

The Native shop I'm the most famiiar with doesn't give free packs. But you do have the option of buying packs....they even allow you to buy less than 10 individual packs (the equivalent of a carton) at $1.75 per pack.

Buying packs makes sense if I wanted multiple packs. I was told by my shop's rep they actually get customers who just wanna buy one pack and that's it. Buying one pack online is a joke when you factor in $10 on shipping.

My shop offers free shipping if you buy 10 cartons or more. 10 cartons at $140-$160 (depending on the brand I choose) is a good deal since I can barely get 3 Newport cartons offline with $150.

I expect to get free packs now and then from a retailer that knows I'm a good customer. And they also know that I have gotten them a lot of new customers besides me. They know because they pay me ten bucks for each customer I get them on top of fifty cents for each carton that new customer buys in their first order. And I have gotten a lot of ten dollar payments and a lot of multi-carton first order payouts!

Sounds like that Native shop has a referral system. At least that shop pays more in ref commissions than the amount of ref commissions esmokes.com used to have. Esmokes neva paid ME 10 bucks for referring a new customer. LOL

Seems like American (non-Native) smoke shops that offer ref commissions are the same ones who usually reporting orders. But we all know Native shops can offer good customers moolah cause those shops are exempted from the Jenkins Act.

Never. I don't even know what I'd do with a whole carton of cigarettes. That's enough to last me at least a year and a half.

Keep the carton in the freezer or fridge to keep it
fresh. When I stock up on say 10 cartons, I keep mine in the freezer.

Cigs taste fresher when the pack comes outta the fridge or freezer.

A carton would last a month for me. If I buy by the pack I smoke less. When I smoke less I enjoy each cigarette more. Time for a smoke break, haven't had one in 2 hours.

Cool

I allways bought by the carton whether it was online or not. I did this all the way up to the last round of big tax increases. Then, I switched to buying single packs (which required me to go to the store everyday to check the specials). Now, I am rolling my own and getting pretty good at it. In my last rolling session, I rolled an entire box of cig tubes (1 carton) in an hour and thirty minutes using a Premier Supermatic Injection roller.
