I don't mean smoke in supermarkets, or on buses/trains. But I mean like does anyone here smoke inside of public restrooms? Or maybe at a train stop?

And if you DO smoke in prohibited areas, what do you do if a smoke cop threatens you to put it out or give you a ticket? Or betta yet, what do you do to a punk who threatens to call the cops on you?

I ain't joking. If you caught smoking in my town, don't be shocked if a cop puts you in jail for smoking in a prohibited area.

But in reply to my own Q, I have smoked inside of underground train stops, inside of men's restrooms, and when I was in my 20s, I even smoked inside of empty classrooms a few times. And I used eitha an empty Pepsi can or an open window as my ashtray.

I also smoked in an empty classroom in an elementary school once. The class was downstairs eating their lunch. And while the kids and teacher ate their lunch, I stayed in the room and smoked at least 2 cigs during their lunch period. When the kids and teacher came back, nobody suspected I actually smoked in there.

Did I ever get caught smoking? I got caught by a racist cop once. This whiteboy was smoking next to me on a train platform, and this white cop approached only me, got into my face, and thrreatened to ticket my Black ass if I didn't put the cig out.

Oh I put the Newport out. But I didn't appreciate that moron for not giving that white dude next to me a warning....he gave only ME a warning.

That smoke cop was racist, and a lotta cops in the Windy Ciry hate us Blacks. It's OK to smoke on a platform if you white. But not if you a bro. Not in my books!

That was 4 years ago. Now if a whiteboy is caught smoking on a platform, he WILL get ticketed.

I hardly ever smoke in "prohibited areas". But one time I was in a bar and I was like really drunk, so I just lit up a cigarette right in the bar and for a minute nobody really did anything, people just kind of stared at me, but then like about half way through my cigarette, the bartender kicked me out of the bar, well he didn't actually kick me out, but he told me if I don't go outside and smoke it then I wouldn't be allowed to come back there, so I ended up going outside to smoke the cig.

I don't think my race would matter all that much. I'm kind of a big bruiser looking type. I always wear scary looking t-shirts and I am a weight lifter. I light up in bars all the time where smoking is banned and no one ever tells me I can't do that. I think if I was a little guy or weak-looking, people might approach me about my smoking.

I recommend lighting up in prohibited places first, to get a quick nic fix and secondly, to see what will happen. If nothing happens and no one says anything, just keep doing it. If somebody says something, see how long it takes them to get irate about it. That gives you a good nic fix regardless.

If somebody said somethang to me, they betta make sure they got security or a smoke cop with em in case they don't wanna see me get outraged. I wanna see what people will do if they see a whole GROUP of smokers lighting up in a smoke-free tavern.

Smoking bans would fail if groups of people smoked in prohibited areas.

I recently had a birthday party of eight smokers in a non-smoking Italian restaurant. IF we had of been asked to refrain from smoking (we weren't), I would have demanded that we leave the establishment and go somewhere else. The owners would have lost out on the near $400 we spent there.

I wish more smokers had the guts to do this and congregate in groups and light up in prohibited areas. You're right, those bans would definitely fail if more groups would light up and smoke in banned areas.
