Cool What causes Chain Smoking?

I'm a one pack a day smoker mostly. If I'm not stressed, I smoke 15-20 cigs a day. When I'm stressed (like now Jan 5 '09), I smoke 10 cigs in 210 minutes. One every 21 minutes. The most I've ever smoked in a day was probably 40 to 50 cigs. I been smoking for 35 years. I scrounged all around my house for two bucks so I could run down to the store on my bicycle and got a pack of 305's light 100s for $2.03. I had a bad nic-fit tonight. Worst one I had in years. I'm not quite recession proof I suppose. I couldn't believe I used up all my change jar. I tore this place apart before I found $15 worth of quarters. I'm gonna be smoking up a storm here soon with real native tobacco. Smoke 'em if you got 'em!

The most i ever smoked in a day was 56 Newport 100 cigs on a Sunday in Sep. '06.

Smoking Native cigs has helped me resurrect my life as a smoker. I'm now enjoying smoking again without feeling the need to smoke cause I "have to smoke." I bet that's why it used to be normal for me to smoke 1.5 ppd on Newports...I was smoking those cigs cause I liked em and I needed my darn snokes.

I actually chainsmoke 3-4 cigs when I do have a smoking session with Natives. Sometimes I might smoke 5 Native cigs in a row.

I think the most cigs I ever chainsmoked was 13....but I think those were Marlboro Lights from 6 years ago. I think the most Newports I ever chainsmoked were 6 pr 8.

Yeah, I hate it when I get really "nicked out" as I call it and just start smoking every like 10-20 minutes. You should try dipping when this happens. Get a can of grizzly, that's what I do. Grizzly's got a lot more nicotine then cigs do.

Default Chain Smoking

I'll smoke two or three in a row if I'm hanging with someone chatting and smoking and wont think twice about it. I'd be surprised if most people at work in this day and age dont do the same thing. You have to get your nic fix but you can go out and have a smoke every hour. So when you do go out for a smoke break, you have a couple.

We still have smoking indoors at my workplace. I think everyone that works there is a smoker. I guess if even one non-smoker got hired, they could force us all outside. That non-smoker would be a pariah though and would probably be ostracized so badly that they would have to quit working there. Sort of reverse of what is happening (or has already happened) in most workplaces. The non-smokers have the upper hand in most.
