Default first brand

Mine was merit menthol 100s. My friend would steal a pack from his mom.
We would sneak into this wooded cemetary and spend the whole day
In there smoking. After a few months of this we just started buying them.
Stayed with merits for many many years.

My first cigs were always Marlboro lights bummed from friends. Hated em the first few times I tried em but used cigs to quit using chewing tobacco thinking it would be easy to quit smoking because i didn't like it. That was about 15 years ago. Now I'm going back the other way using chewing tobacco to slow down my cig smoking. lol

My first cig was Marlboro Lights. I've moved from the lights, but they will always have place in my heart.

It was a Salem 100, borrowed from my grandmother. When I started buying them, I bought a pack of Marlboro lights before I switched to Marlboro light 100's.

My first smoke was a Winfield Blue, I was 15 and my friend smoked them so I asked him for one. I didn't like it, it felt too strong and the flavour wasn't nice (I still hate them). Then another friend of mine offered me a Benson & Hedges Smooth and I loved it. A couple of days later I bought a pack of B&H Smooth and have been smoking it ever since.

After that... the only way was down! Think how much you enjoy your favourite smoke of the day, multiply it by a factor of... well, lots, and then enjoy it even more. Bloody mind-blowing. Brilliant. It was almost 10 years ago now and I think I've felt that good about five times since.

One of those times was on a visit to the USA. Probably why I love the country so much

Probably about 5 or 6 years old. My Grandmother gave my older brother and me a partial can (yes you could buy cigs in cans back then) of Lucky Strikes and I believe also a pack of Camels. I remember trying a few but didn't really like them much until I was older, around 12-13. Back then no one was against smoking, and I remember my GM saying, "I know you boys want to smoke, just don't tell anybody."

In the 50's-60's there was an area at school where smoking was allowed by students. When I was 14-15 I would hang out there and smoke Pall Malls and Winstons, and whatever I could bum. Most everybody had a knife in their pocket and guns in their cars. Times were different, huh?
