Greetings all,

I just discovered these forums and thought I'd join, since smokers are persona non grata in the real world, and it is hard to discuss the subject when personal attack is likely.

I used to smoke Doral until the price went up. Then I switched to Pall Mall. Lately I've noticed that Pall Malls seem different, like less satisfying and more toxic. They irritate my eyes terribly, almost like I've developed an allergy.

Yesterday I tried American Spirit Lights, and found them stronger than what I'm used to. They were satisfying, but gave me a dirty feeling and also made me cough. I've smoked for many years, but don't have a cough normally. I found that they have more tar and nicotine than Pall Mall Light 100s, but half as much carbon monoxide. Today I tried American Spirit Ultra Lights. They are not satisfying, but maybe I can get used to them, because I can't stand the way the Pall Malls are making me feel. Also, I can't find the carbon monoxide level of the Ultra Lights when looking online.

As far as the warning "No additives do not make a safer cigarette", I'd like some commentary on that. How could the absence of many toxic chemicals not be a better, safer and healthier thing? It just makes no sense to me.

Secondly, I don't know how I can afford to smoke these outrageously priced cigarettes, but I don't know a reliable place to buy them cheaper online.

I agree, it's nonsense anti propaganda. Just like they claim second hand smoke is deadly. If that were true I would have been dead before reaching my teens.
