| Hello everyone, I have just started smoking and I need a bit of guidance: I can't stop coughing. The smoke no longer irritates my throat, but I get it about halfway down my esophagus and I have a coughing fit. The brand I chose - and I have my reasons for choosing it; it's nostalgia, I guess (I also use an FDR-esque cigarette holder) - is Lucky Strikes (the unfiltered classic, of course). I know, Luckies are kind of harsh for beginning smoking, but then at one time the only cigarettes available were unfiltered, and people had to learn to start smoking back then, too. Anyway, I guess I'm asking how to get over the coughing and start actually smoking. Thanks! |

| I also smoke Lucky Strikes. They have a rich tobacco flavor. I only smoke only one or two a day. There are days I don't smoke at all. I do not inhale, but smoke them like you would a cigar. If you watch some of the movies from the 1930s and 40s, you will notice a lot of the actors did not inhale. Frank Sinatra is one that comes to mind. His brand was Camel unfiltered. Hope this helps |
