I ask this question as i've found alot of people have different views obviously the internet isn't always the first place people will go but it does seem to be cheaper. What's your thoughts?

I live in Ohio so usually if I'm looking to buy a carton or two I drive down to Kentucky and buy them because kentucky got a cheaper tax on their smokes. 50.00 for a carton of camels in Ohio- 22.00 in Kentucky. But if I'm looking to just buy a pack or two- then I just get those in Ohio because the drive to Kentucky ain't worth it if I'm just going to buy one pack down there.

i get mine online...i save about $15 carton rather than buying cigarettes from a convenience store...the Texas state tax is $14.10 a carton, so i prefer to get my cigarettes cheaper from online stores, but not all of them are reputable.

I buy mine online. But you gotta do research on any smoke shop online before you buy cartons at all. Because some of them will lie about not reporting orders. But there are some legit smoke shops online that mean it when they say your orders are not shared with anyone.

Some shops say on their site we don't report orders. But they could also be lying about that. From my experience, just cause a shop specifically states on their site "We don't report orders" doesn't actually mean they're being honest with that statement. I think I saw only one smoke shop that does not display their snail address on their contact page. I only saw a customer phone number on their contact page and that's it....not even an email addy.

I buy them at either the liquor store by my house or the 7-11 by where my friends and I hang out. I'd buy them online if I bought by the carton, but until I decide on a brand I'm going to make my regulars I'm still buying by the pack. Last edited by Rodwy; 12-27-2008 at 08:09 PM.

It's about $5 a pack locally... but, my husband and his work buddies pay less than 3 at TobaccoTrain dot com and it was less than that before gas went up! The safe way, is to go off shore, where local taxes don't apply and your State has no business.

I always go to either Speedway or Walgreens. Speeday because they are a hell of a lot cheaper than any other gas station in IN or Walgreens because they have good deals on cigs and have a good variety of brands that Speedway doesn't have.
