I just read this article in the New York Times, but this looks like just what Chantix is supposed to do:

"NicVax spurs the immune system to produce antibodies that bind to nicotine in the bloodstream, much as antibodies would attack an invading pathogen. Once bound to an antibody, the nicotine cannot cross the blood-brain barrier to enter the brain. The vaccine was therefore expected to diminish the pleasure of smoking and make it easier to quit."

Anyone had an success with Chantix? I tried it but it didn't work for me

I heard about this Chantix stuff but the long term effects are not known yet. I'd be worried to take it.

This will sound "controversial" but if you want to quit try dipping Snus to calm your cravings for a cig. I have done a week smoke free now while chewing just one or two pouches a day. They deliver a stronger nicotine hit than smoking too.
