You wont get addicted from smoking it once thats for sure. People get addicted to alcohol also yet would you tell them to never have a drink? I used to smoke a lot but cut back a TON and only smoke occasionally now but it really is very relaxing. Smoking is the perfect drug imo, when your tired it helps you sleep, when you wake up it helps you wake, when your hungry it suppresses your appetite, when your full it eases your discomfort, when your alone its your best friend, when your socializing it forms an instant bond with a fellow smoker, when your stressed it relaxes you, when you need to be alert it revives you ext As far as it will kill you, well yeah fast food will kill you faster then anything out there-which I don't eat- I exercise daily, eat well, don't drink that often and smoke occasionally because I enjoy it. Keep any habit in moderation though and you should be fine doesn't hurt to try honestly but addiction does suck with anything. I don't feel I'm addicted I only smoke occasionally and could quit but don't see a point in quitting when I do enjoy it.

People who have smoked for years will often tell you they hate it, but I really think that's just a PC thing and they secretly love it. Though I wouldn't recommend smoking just for the sake of having something to do. By all means, try cigarettes... but don't be one of those people who builds up a pack a day just to do so. And yeah, 1 cigarette isn't going to get you addicted. Many people smoke casually (a few times a week, while out drinking, once or twice a day, when theyre hanging out with a certain friend, etc...) and never get addicted, others get addicted quickly. But your first cigarette will probably make you feel a little sick, tbh. So do it in moderation. When you feel like you don't want more, put it out. One trick I used to do was that I'd limit myself to 2 a day max (I'd usually smoke less), then between packs would go a month without. These days I allow myself to smoke however much I want (though more than 5 and I feel sick) and intermittently, when I feel I want them a bit too much, don't smoke at all for a couple weeks. I've been able to comfortably purge myself without even reach the 10-a-day "smoker" definition for about 7 years now. I go through phases of smoking more or less (or not at all), but it really varies. Just pay attention to how you feel, what your body's telling you, and don't force yourself. Different people react in different ways.

Smoking is a terrible habit. It makes you stink, it stains your teeth, it's addictive, it can cause respiratory problems and it can kill you. On the other hand, smoking a cigarette when stressed can decrease your stress significantly, after having a few drinks or doing your drug of choice (if that's what you do), it's almost euphoric. After a big meal, it does wonders to settle your stomach. When you are bored are hanging out with another smoker it's good to help pass the time. Oh yeah, and, despite what those government-run organizations that encourage you to be a sheep tell you, smoking makes you look cool.

Dear, The best answer anyone will give you is not to start. If you are fresh then stay fresh. This have a lot of side effects and you will remain fresh by abstain from it.

![]() doesn't look that bad despite being 54 and a smoker in fact most celebrities smoke and several top athletes do as well. Obviously yeah I don't encourage anyone to start smoking it has its dangers-but so do many habits- but this is a cig review forum and I enjoy the habit at times and hate it at other times. Yet so far the good outweigh the bad so I continue to enjoy them once in awhile. Now days I really prefer cigars, they just have a whole other level of appeal then a cheap cig. Tobacco like alcohol has a long history of use with humans so its pretty natural to be drawn to it. I wouldn't just start for the sake of doing it though like others have said. Yet i your really curious it really doesn't hurt to try it, in the end its your life and you can choose to start and quit anytime you like. Last edited by ghosthalo2; 04-29-2011 at 02:19 AM. |
