guess im lucky, in los angeles of all places, youd think theyd be over-the top expensive...

I smoke marlboro lights. i usually shop by pack, which will run me $3.80 at chevron, but if i want a carton itll usually run 25. never buy that much tho.

i can never ration out a large quantity of anything, im sure most of you feel me.

I just bought one pack of Nat Sherman Classic Lights for $6.25 and a carton of 305s for $11.99 and a carton of Basic Lights 100s for $14.49 (using a $3 off coupon) and one pack of Kretek Cherry Dreams for $5.99. Oh yeah, and one pack of Black Death for $4.50. I almost bought a 24oz bag of some RYO tobacco for $13.50 but, I decided to wait til I find a place online in a tobacco friendly state and see how low the prices might be. I know that since OBAMA your mama signed SCHIP bill, that there may be some good deals out there to buy before the prices go WAY UP on the RYO products.

Default Nat Sherman Cigarettes

Sherman fan, you can get them online from a variety of Native American retailers for less than $30 per cube. I used to work for a tobacco shop and I still have 10 cubes stashed somewhere - ebay wouldnt let me sell them

I paid something like $5.80 for one pack of Djarum Specials today. They used to be around $4.82. It's a damn good thing I'm such a light smoker, otherwise I'd be tempted to quit completely.

If that's the price you paid for Djarums this month, then as of next month, I bet those Djarum Specials will be more than 6 bucks. That price doesn't include the tax increase on all tobacco products we all know about.

I'd rather quit than to smoke lightly and spend 6 bucks for ANY tobacco product! I remember the days when packs used to be only a nickel 60 years ago and 75 cents in the early 80's.

Cool

It don't matter if your a lighter habit smoker or full blooded smoker, if smokers can afford to continue to smoke, they will. And the ones that can't afford it, will probably keep smoking. Little babies are going to suffer for those dirty politicians up in Masschuesetts and people that can't afford to be smoking are going to suffer. People that CAN afford it will suffer. People on welfare will keep buying smokes. The dirty politicians want you to get out and get your excercise by hiking to town to the store that sells cigs where the price will be out of this world! If you can afford it, you will just keep smoking unless you think you were meant to be a non-smoker and you have the willpower. Most real addicted smokers can't go an hour without a cigarette. You think the price is going to be a deterrent? I doubt it. People that aren't as addicted as others should count themselves lucky that they might be able to quit. The really addicted ones aren't quitting for any reason unless tobacco is outlawed and you can't get it anywhere. People will start growing tobacco in the back yard. Old ladies with green thumbs will be growing it. More illegal smoking materials will spring up as well. Is it legal for anybody to grow a tobacco plant in the back yard???

This is sort of like the gas crunch last year when the price of Diesel got up to $5.39 a gallon in my area. Now its down to $2.09 a gallon after everybody cried and complained about it. Maybe if all the smokers of the world would cry and complain after we start paying monstrous tax increases, then maybe the price will go down??? Yeah, right...maybe....

Default Brand Cigarettes Please Help?

I agree with you 100% I'm a smoker in texas and I can't buy cigarettes here they are to much. So, I buy them elsewhere cheaper. I started smoking Kool Menthol and through out the years had to ghange b/c of the cost. I am now smoking Liggett Light Menthol 100's in the Box. I now have to look for a lesser Brand and don't know where to begin? My carton went from 17.99 to 27.99 way too much for these cigarettes. So, if anyone who smoked kools or liggetts has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it. I don't know where all the smokers are when the past laws were passed. I'm so angry...

I can say it's cool to hear of at least a second smoker on here who regularly smokes menthols....second smoker excluding myself.
