I just received six non-FSC cartons Of Parliament Lights Premiums (the ones that come in a box resembling Nat Shermans). They were made in the USA, are stamped duty-free, and came to me via Mexpost in no time flat. And, they were only $33 a carton. If I buy cigarettes in my town, they are over $8 a pack for Parliament Lights. Ten minutes away in New Hampshire, they are a little bit cheaper--but these sold locally are all Fire-Safety Compliant cigs--i.e., FSC. I hate them. If I am unable to receive these non-FSC cigarettes because of the PACT law (though they only say they can't be shipped via USPS but perhaps they can be shipped UPS or FedEx), I will quit smoking--VERY BEGRUDGINGLY. I have seven children and am a widow so I have seven good reasons to quit, but smoking's been my crutch during tough times in my life.
As far as what makes them FSC--five bands of a GLUE similar to CARPET GLUE are applied on the inside of the paper. No thanks. The ashes are continuously dropping off the end of the cigarette at odd times and this is even more dangerous--especially when driving--than non-FSC cigarettes.
In January I was in Florida and was able to find two older cartons of Parliament Lights that were non-FSC so I scooped them up quickly.
I got six cartons of Parliament Light Premiums from cheapcigarettes.com.
I'm not smoking FSCs. They are 15% more toxic than non-FSCs.
