I recently ordered a carton of smokes from our of state and they came in FSC which surprised me. I have heard a ton of bad things about these smokes but to be honest I can't tell a difference in taste. To me it just taste like it normally would plus a small touch of RYO paper flavor. I would like to know if RJR cigarettes FSC is not like P. Lorrilard and Phillip Morris which are typically the brands with FSC complaints? Thanks for any comments.

Each brand is going to taste a little different. All the FSC are the same though. They go out when you lay them down, you have to drag harder on them and flakes of burning paper falls off them when you smoke them.

I live in Indiana which just enacted the FSC law on July 1st. Knowing it was coming I purchased 10 cartons of Winston full flavor in advance from the tobacco shop where I trade. This set me back a hefty sum ($482.50 after Bracko's taxes) but I am stocked up for three months now and they are all fresh (F9 meaning June 2009) so they will be good. FSC cigarettes are horrible. They taste terrible and make me cough, give me a sore throat and also headaches. I have been smoking since I was 16 (when any pack of cigarettes you wanted was 89 cents) and never had these problems. Until recently RJR had an additonal $8 buydown on their cartons in KY and IL to try and keep people from going to IN to buy non-FSC cigarettes. I would bet my last dollar that Bracko in the White House is not smoking these rotten FSC cigarettes. This whole administration and the one previous to it make me sick, but that is a rant for another board.

I did not know about this FSC business until I went to the store and purchase a carton then had my cigarette when suddenly what the heck this ain't my brand of cigarette, the taste was wrong. Next I noticed that the cigarette kept burning out on it's own. I asked myself, did they change it? I tried another and another then decided to break open a cigarette to see if something was wrong inside. The paper appeared different, maybe the changed the paper? The taste is definitely different, I had to open my nicoteen gum to get the nicoteen my cigarette used to give me. So, I searched the internet to see if they had changed the cigarette or maybe I just had a bad batch. OH MY GOD! They did change it! No wonder there is no taste in the cigarette anymore. It tastes like I am smoking air! The cigarette whiners have gone too far! Sure you can whine about smoke but how dare you touch my cigarette! Grrrr! Anyways, I read more on the internet and learned that the cigarette whiners had convinced government to change the cigarette, change -all- cigarettes, to TASTELESS FSC. After 40 years of smoking I am being forced to roll my own now. With everything the cigarette whiners have done this is the worst of the worst. Just like the 2nd hand smoke excuse, burning down the house with the cigarette is just another one of the cigarette whiners lame excuses to kill the cigarette and they did! Who wants Coca-Cola? Nobody, we all want Coca-Cola Classic! Now instead of the convience of the cigarette, we all have to roll our own. Prince Albert

FSC's are terrible! I actually just bought a Vapor King ecig because of FSC's. It is awesome. There are so many flavors and vaping is totally satisfying. I have 2 packs of non FSC Benson & Hedges left (I have been smoking them sparingly), and I have to say after using my Vapor King for the past 3 days the B&H don't taste very good. I have only had 6 cigarettes the past 3 days and I doubt I will have any tomorrow. I vape in the house and there is no cigarette smell, none. I think smoking may be a thing of the past for me...We'll see.
